The Drifter Leather Motorcycle Jacket has an iconic Steve McQueen/James Dean vibe to it. The clean, simple lines disguise a plethora of pockets and features. You'll get plenty of airflow in this jacket - two vents in the front and two in the back. After the left front vent is opened another zipper opens into a triple pocket area with a lanyard. After the right vent is unzipped there is another zipper that allows you to access a double pocket area. The bottom of both of these main compartments can also serve as a storage pocket.
This leather motorcycle jacket has an inside snap pocket on the left and a zippered pocket on the right. A full sleeve zip out liner completes the climate control package, making this a perfect riding jacket all year round. Complete with armor pockets in the back, elbows and shoulders as well as a sturdy leather hang hook sewn into the inside collar, the Drifter Leather Motorcycle Jacket is cut extra long in the back, has adjustable snap sides and antique nickel hardware.
Made in USA - Lifetime Guarantee
Our lifetime guarantee covers the workmanship and materials on all of our American made chaps, jackets, vests and pants as long as they are owned by the original purchaser. This includes any problem with snaps, zippers, seams and grommets that arise due to normal use of the garment.

Fits true to size - as in suit jacket size. If layering is the plan, then perhaps order a size up. A truly modern motorcycle jacket with unmistakable vintage vibe and superior quality and construction. I'm 5'5" so the regular length is a bit long (as expected). With that said I do wish Fox Creek would offer short sizes, as seemingly no manufacturer does so for motorcycle apparel.
Perfect Thickness Leather and Excellent in Hottest Weather

The Drifter jacket really hits a sweet spot in terms of motorcycle riding apparel. I previously purchased the Classic II, and, as good as that jacket is, the Drifter really excels in some important ways. For me, the Drifter's leather thickness is just right: thick enough to feel protective; yet leaving the jacket light enough for extended wear. I certainly wouldn't want my jacket leather to be any thinner than the Drifter. However, the weight of the Classic II would sometimes be too much for me after a couple of hundred miles. I currently commute every day to work in Texas, and I can wear the Drifter in 100 F weather. It is actually more comfortable than a textile jacket I had been using as a summer riding garment; the Drifter airflow vents really do their job. It's a shame that this style is being discontinued. Finally, I really like the snap sides much better than laces; a cleaner look, in my opinion.
I drive just like Steve McQueen!

At 56, I'm a new rider. I bought some FCL gloves first, and they are superb. I kept returning to the website (dangerous, lol)! I was drawn to the Drifter style immediately, and it was on clearance, and my size was available! Uh-oh!!! Well it arrived and I love it. It is not their thickest or thinnest leather, but in the middle and just right for me. It feels substantial and protective, but not overly heavy, and with massive venting front and rear to keep cool (S. Florida). Many people comment online regarding the amazing smell and feel of the leather and the obvious high quality workmanship. I totally agree! I was at first (riding) wearing an old leather jacket from high school days. I think there's more leather in one sleeve of my Drifter than my entire h.s. jacket! Do your research, call to get sizing advice, and order the jacket with features that meet your wants/needs. See you on the open road!

Love this jacket from the moment i got it. Got put to the test last fall when i was broadsided by a deer early in the morning headed to work doing 35 mph on a tar and chip secondary road. Did a high side and landed on my helmet, left shoulder and hip. Bruised shoulder, a mild concussion and 2 broke ribs. Slid about 50 feet and not one bit of road rash! This jacket saved my skin and the best part it is still in great shape.

Worth Every Penny

I have been looking for a good leather jacket for some time but turned off by many of the manufacturers because they outsource to foreign countries to purchase and have their jackets made.
Now in itself that is not a bad thing in that many companies have standards of the quality of leather to be used in their product but you just never really know what you're getting until it's at your door. Trying to rectify an unfavorable situation could take months because the parent company has to go back to the point of origin to get anything done.
A friend told me about Fox Creek Leather so I gave them a look and I can only say how impressed I was at the information available from the site and from the numerous phone calls I made in regards to what I was looking for. I did all the measurements and placed my order for this jacket and received an email within minutes that my order had been received and it was being processed. It shipped out that afternoon and another email was received with tracking information. I received the jacket 4 days later and was a little dismayed that I had received a 48 instead of the 48 Long I needed. I called and spoke with Rachel and before I could even finish or think another thought she informed me that a 48 Long would be in the mail that afternoon with a shipping label to return the jacket I received in error.
The second jacket came in 3 days ago and all I can say is WOW. A perfect fit, the quality is bar none the best I have ever seen in a leather jacket. The leather is soft and supple and will require no break in period as all my other leather jackets required. I couldn't be happier with this jacket or with the customer service at Fox Creek Leather.
They have made me a lifetime customer to go along with their lifetime guarantee on all their leather jackets, vests and chaps. I also bought a vest that I reviewed with equal enthusiasm. Thank you Fox Creek Leather, both the jacket and the vest are worth every penny and more.
All Quality No Bull

Fox Creek Leather knows how to make a jacket. The leather itself is the highest grade, I've seen. The Hardware is of some of the highest quality as well. This jacket has more pockets and hidden little secret pockets, all over. It is very heavy duty in construction, when you first pick it up, your like....Dang. Once you slip it on however, the weight just evens out and you don't notice the heft quite as bad.
The leather is soft and supple and conforms to the torso as it "breaks in". I wish I would have had this jacket 30 years ago, when I took the first cross country trip. (Thats another story, maybe some other time)
To be truthful, I have yet to wear it in the heat, but with the vents I see and in combination with a cooling vest, I believe it will be fine. This is my second Fox Creek Leather Jacket. I like quality, let me rephrase that...I expect quality goods for good money. When you deal with Fox Creek Leather, you get what you pay for, for sure.
The Customer service is great as well. I ordered my first Jacket in a long size which was perfect, When I ordered the "Drifter" I forgot to say long. Well they didn't forget at all, when my Jacket arrived and I opened the box, they shipped the long size to me. Now that folks is customer service.
I have had no problems with the jacket at all, and with a lifetime warranty plus the customer service I have already received. I am not even going to sweat it.
So take your measurements and order the Jacket and see for yourself, what world class quality and customer service is all about. Have a safe trip.

Hi all. I was in the market for a new leather jacket after the last purchase (eBay) was quite acceptable but a bit too big. Perfectly OK for winter with a few layers underneath, but a bit sloppy in the warmer weather. I was skeptical about another on-line purchase, not having the greatest luck with sizing over the years, but the jacket selection here in Australia is lousy unless you want multiple colors with name brands all over it.
I came across Fox Creek Leather, and after reading dozens of reviews from happy customers decided to try my luck one more time..
I emailed for a size recommendation, and got an answer back in under 24 hours. I'm 42 chest, 39 stomach, 5'11 and about 182 lb. I told them I wanted it for spring/fall wear, and wouldn't wear much other than a shirt underneath, and likely not use the liner either.
The suggestion was for a 42, which is what I ordered. It arrived in under 2 weeks.
All I'll say about the quality of the leather and workmanship is to add my total agreement with all the other reviews across all the products. It's beautiful.
Fit wise, it's spot on for what I needed. If I wanted to wear anything other than a shirt underneath, and/or the liner, I'd say it would be snug to too small, so 42 is a true 42. If you plan on wearing layers make sure you measure with them on. My only gripe is that I've got long arms, and an inch longer in the sleeves would suit me better but that's just me. It's fine except when on my bike, when I have a gap between my gloves and the cuff.
At $522 US, this jacket cost me $735 Australian. Worth it - you bet.
Thanks Fox Creek

This is the finest jacket you can buy, period!!! The quality of this jacket is unbelievable. You can not purchase a finer leather jacket at any price that would compare to this jacket. Just telling like it is. Thanks Fox Creek Leather!
