Boots are subjected to the harshest treatment of all outdoor wear - they are truly "under pressure" to get the job done. This is especially hard on insulation because it works by creating air pockets in the fibers - the compacting action of walking effectively destroys the insulating factor. Chippewa uses Thinuslate Ultra Insulation for footwear over the toes, vamp, heel and ankle for maximum warmth. Combined with the Chip-A-Tex Waterproof bootie, your feet are wrapped in waterproof warmth.

For detailed information on the Chippewa design and construction process, go to our Chippewa Country page.

Care:

  1. Remove loose dirt or dust with brush or rag
  2. Replenish oils with an all-purpose conditioner. We recommend Montana Pitch Blend.
