Riding Is In My Genes

This is my story. I’m a 50yr old guy from Malaysia. I’ve been riding one bike or another for the past 26 years I grew up in a single parent home. My dad passed when I was 6 yrs old. My mom used to tell that he owned a Norton Commando 750cc when he was courting her. After marriage he traded in his bike for an air-cooled Volkswagen Beetle 1600cc. Unfortunately after his death my mom had to sell off this car.

Looking back I guess riding has always been in my genes. Bikes attracted me. I now own a 853cc Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber and a 1200cc BMW R9T Urban GS. I’m a proud owner of a VW Beetle 80th year edition. (this is the last year of Beetle manufacture)

For riding gear my initial choices were textile OEM wears. These never really satisfied me, either being too warm in tropical climate, non water resistant & tears easily in any spill.

I came across FCL while searching for leather riding gear online. Boy was I glad in the choices made. I own a distressed leather jacket, leather jeans and gloves (deerskin, elkskin & bison) everything fit perfectly and workmanship was second to none, with prices that won’t burn a hole in your pocket. FCL will be my go to place for any future gears.
