I bought the Bison with half Persian 18” chain. The leather is so soft and conforming that you don’t notice it’s there. Maybe I don’t have enough money for it to be a problem, but bills fit fine.
This wallet is ridiculous!

The short review: I'd say this wallet is as high quality as my FCL vest if not better (which is really saying something).
The long review: I was eyeballing this wallet and got an email about a sale and decided to give it a try. I ordered pretty much the most basic one possible, harness pebble grain leather, FCL snaps, no chain (I did get the chain grommet). The quality is insane. Thick and strong leather but soft at the same time and while I haven't had it for too long, I can already tell the stitching will hold up for the long haul. Right off the bat the card slot was a bit too stiff, but leather stretches and I'd rather this slot be a bit tight than too loose. I gave it a heavy application of a good leather cream, which has helped, but to be honest probably wasn't necessary, just using it for a bit would have broken it in just as well. Next time I get an email about a sale I'll probably snag one in elk. As nice as the harness leather is I really want to see how nice the elk is.

I've had mine for a little over a year now and it's been through everything from below zero and snow to Florida's rain. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is like has been said it's a little hard to get cash into it, but from being completely soaked a few times it's molded perfectly to my cards. Just a couple weeks ago someone asked if I would sell them the chain. And that is the only place I broke it and had to repair it, where the chain attaches to the fish hook but I just put a heavy key ring on it.
Super and secure wallet

I love this boxcar wallet! It easily fits in my back pants pocket and is the most secure wallet I own. My only complaint, and this is simply a function of its design, is that because it is a little shorter dollar bills always have to be folded. This can sometimes be a problem when you are trying to dig out the right change at the cash register. Like I said, this is not the fault of Fox Creek because the wallet is shorter than the full sized trucker style chain wallets. But for what it is it is wonderful. A truly solid and secure wallet.

My old stiff wallet of similar design was cowhide. The elk my new one is made of is much softer. It took some getting used to. However, there was no "break in" required and felt good from the first. I used to take my old stiff wallet out of my pocket on long motorcycle rides. It got uncomfortable. Not so with this one. I got the shorter chain with leather laced in it that matched the wallet. I'd do that again too. It adds a nice touch.

Great quality leather. Very soft. The thing is that I didn’t order a chain so there is no where to put the chain if I decided to get one. It does stick out of your pocket about an inch and a half. I have a jacket, chaps and face mask from Fox Creek, you can’t find better leather.

This is an amazing product very nice. Ordered online but the leather I wanted wasn’t good for the wallet so they called me and offered me Buffalo leather and it is amazing!!! Can’t wait to order a vest!!!

This is a high quality wallet. Just like everything else I have of Fox Creek's. Super soft. I normally will take my wallet out on longer rider. But w/this one I don't actually have too. Only unless I want to do so.

The wallet is beautiful, no doubt about that. I do have a problem with the chain pulling the section of the wallet where it is attached down. I tried to get used to it, but I couldn't. The wallet now sits in a drawer unused. The fish hook is outstanding, however.
