Oddball wearing the DeerTours and Classic II Motorcycle Jacket.
I just got my latest but not last order from FCL. Black DeerTours in XL. Once again I am TOTALLY satisfied. It is obvious that FCL will not stock or sell anything that they would not be proud to put their name on. The gloves fit great, look good and without a doubt would be handy in a crash. So far I have purchased: Vented Racing Jacket, Buffalo Nickel Braided Vest, Fancy Vest Extenders, Small Trucker Wallet with Chain. Heavy Duty Windshield Bag. "The Belt" and the Perforated Gel Fingerless Gloves. I have been 100% satisfied with them all with the exception of the Fingerless Gloves. I had issues with the stitching on them. All-In-All I will not shop anywhere else. If I need it and FCL does not carry it I will wait until they do or simply do without.
Thanks Fox Creek Leather. You do business the way business should be done!!

About a month ago I watched this guy take a spill about 100 yds in front of me on I-30. So I slam on the brakes, hit the hazards and dial 911 while I'm running past people with their mouths still open. He's seen better days, but it appeared he would survive. While I was talking to him about what happened and the ambulance was coming, I took note of the damage. Leather chaps: ok Jacket: a little scuff here and there (in my book I call that character). Helmet: toast. Gloves: oh oh. The right palm was still there, but the fingers had pushed so hard on pavement that the stitching literally ripped away from the rest of the glove leaving what amounted to 4 leather finger condoms. The other glove had no palm left to speak of and his hand was red with abrasion. I figure he rear-ended that guy doing about 35 to 40 mph, no more. I've seen GP racers spill going twice as fast as that and coming out better than this guy. It became clear that low budget poorly made products are no match for quality leather that costs $20 more (I actually looked at the same pair the day before at the HD dealer). I got my Deertours in on Monday and the moment I tried them on I knew the value of quality over the bottom line. Don't short change yourself. Supple and tough like they say. No finer glove anywhere.

Folks, your deerskin gloves and gauntlets, both lined and unlined, are the best bargain in biking handwear available. Fact is, I like em so much, I bought a pair of each - lined & unlined gloves, lined & unlined gauntlets. The unlined gloves are perfect for milder weather, while the lined versions keep my hands toasty when the thermometer drops.
The gloves seem to run just a bit large. I found that the large size works best for me in the lined versions, and dropped down a size to medium for my unlined gloves. They perform exceptionally well, the comfort level is awesome, they're made in the USA, and they're fairly priced. What more could a body ask for?

I've had mine for a few months now, and they feel great. Before I had these gloves, I couldn't even wear gloves. The less expensive gloves made by Fox Creek lack the wrist velcro, so I chose these.
Riding only a little over a year now, I pulled the classic newbie mistake of buying "everything" I could get my hands on for riding. That includes about 8 pairs of gloves. The DeerTours were among the last purchased. I bought a black pair and tan pair. I have found myself using these gloves exclusively for the past 3 months, they're that different. I feel like I'm more in control of the bike because of the dexterity I have wearing these gloves. If you buy these you won't need 8 pairs.

These gloves are the most comfortable that I own (which is quite a few). For riding my motorcycle, they are perfect unless temps go below 40... then there is not much that is perfect. I wear these gloves anywhere from 40 degrees up to 60 and then they get a little warm. I swore that I would send these back if they didn't work in 30 degree weather, however I love these so much and can wear them in such variations of temp, that I'm keeping and loving them! As always, size up a little if you're motorcycle riding, makes them more comfortable.

I bought a pair of your black touring gloves in the spring of 2004 at the same time as I purchased my new Nomad. This first summer, they have survived 12,000 miles of travel; 7500 of that was during an international trip this past summer through all kinds of weather imaginable. Not once did I think fast enough to protect them from the elements. From British Columbia to Quebec to Memphis and back home, they performed flawlessly. I often ended up wearing them through pouring rain with no problems. With a little help they were dry by the next day and just as flexible as ever. Other than a tiny hole at the end of one thumb and a lot less black dye thanks to the constant rain during the trip, they are as good as new. I would definitely recommend these to anyone for any trip.

Somebody finally got it right! I am not a motorcycle enthusiast, but a serious student of medieval swordsmanship, specializing in the long sword. The gauntlet style glove I use is identical in make and fit to the motorcycle gauntlet. I've gone through a couple of pairs of foreign made gloves yearly for the past several years. They seem to be pieced together with differing kinds of leather, the stitching falls apart, they are too stiff, or too thin.
This pair of Fox Creek's elk gauntlets was a dream in comparison. Immediately I noticed the excellent fit, thickness and suppleness. I grabbed my sword and started a good round of drills which would require that the glove move with me throughout and would give me the feeling that I didn't have a glove on at all.
After several uses I am very pleased with this glove. I would rate this glove excellent and I intend on sharing my discovery with the other instructors and students.

These are some of the most comfortable gloves I've worn. My wife bought them as a present sometime back and obviously did a good job selecting them. However, I have one issue with them. Anytime my hand sweats bad or I get the gloves wet while wearing them, my hand turns black. Must be the dye in the leather, but either way, it's a bit of a nuisance and will not immediately wash off.

Picked up some HD "gauntlets" last year when I bought my bike in March. For those of you that know New England weather in spring time, one minute it's 60-70 degrees, the next it's 30 and lower so weather is crazy. First issue I had with the HD gauntlets, not very thick, hands got cold quick and the opening at the end of the glove wasn't big enough or long enough to go over my jacket sleeve. Isn't that the whole point behind a gauntlet?? I dealt with it until recently and decided to poke around the web. A couple of the members on a Sportster forum pointed me to Fox Creek and I couldn't be happier. As bulky as these bad boys look, they're soft, but very thick. I went for a quick spin on the bike to see how they'd perform and they didn't disappoint. Fit right over my jacket sleeve with room to spare and with liners under them, blocked a lot of the cold. Great buy and would highly suggest them. So well built, you'll feel like you can punch through a wall (though I wouldn't suggest it).
If all of Fox Creek's products are as good as the Elkskin gauntlet , I'm sold for life!! Great work folks!

I've been using these gloves daily since they arrived over a week ago. I knew from the first use that they were going to be my favorite all around glove. I bought them tight, as I like em to be, and I treated them with the FCL Leather Oil and Conditioner. After the first two days they became form fitted to my entire hand.
They are extremely comfortable , very soft, and a quality riding glove. They clean up great at the end of the day, and the Elk skin sure is durable. These skins should last a very long time. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone for any climate riding.

I don't want to repeat what everyone else has said ( great gloves etc) I only would add that if I ordered another pair, I would get the outside seam type. They fit tightly(which I like) but the seam on the thumb presses against my finger tips . Other than that they are the best motorcycle gloves I have had in over 35 years of riding !!!

Today as I started my bike in this little corner of South Carolina it was 36 degrees...aaah, a great day for a ride. I bought my Lined Deerskin Gauntlets last Wednesday and received them in the mail on Saturday. FAST and FREE. What a value. They are solidly constructed and fit, well, like a glove. Now, I've already had my digits exposed to extreme temps many times to the point of injury so they are very sensitive to cold. Let me say that the 12 mile ride to work was not an issue. Even at 60 mph, and without any windshield or heated grips my fingers came out ready to hit that old desk job. They were cool, but not cold or in pain. I couldn't have asked for a better pair of gloves especially for $39, all in, and made in the USA to boot!! You have a customer for life and I will tell all my riding buddies about you.
Sincerely,
EL

Just received these gloves for use during frigid weather motorcycle riding since I ride year round. I called to get measurement help since all gloves have different measuring methods. They fit perfectly.
These are the absolute softest lined (think rose petals), warmest and most comfortable gloves I've ever worn, even though in below-freezing weather, I still use a thermal glove liner underneath when I'm riding because of the sub-zero wind chill.
When you slip your hand in one of these gloves, you won't want to ever take them off. The "deluxe" means what it says and is worth every penny paid!
I will continue to support family owned business and made in USA by Americans. Thanks FoxCreek!

I have had my Deer Tours now for 1 full riding season and I must say they are wonderful. The fit and feel are better than any glove I have tried on. They are great looking, top quality gloves and I can literally feel the controls of my motorcycle with them on. Great looks, great protection, great product - you will NOT be disappointed with these gloves.

After reading reviews about how soft and supple these gloves were, I had a difficult time deciding to buy them. I mean… I'm the kind of guy who wants the thick tough macho leather protecting him, not soft sissy leather these gloves sound like in the reviews.
In just a few months and 6000 miles later, these gloves have changed my mind about what I need in a glove for protection. I still have to remind myself that these seemingly thin gloves will protect me better than thicker cow skin, but I'm now able to enjoy all the dexterity and control that I was depriving myself of.
I no longer loathe toll booths. Getting the ticket, your wallet, and money from your pocket is not the chore it once was. I can do it all with the gloves on!

I recently ordered a pair of deerskin gauntlets from Fox Creek Leather Co., and as nice as the gloves were, they didn't fit as snug as I wanted. I asked to return them and upgrade to a pair of mediums in elkskin, as they were sold out of deerskins in my size. They even sent me the new ones on the honor system, before I returned the first pair. Within a couple weeks, I was wearing the new medium elkskin gauntlet gloves on my club's scooter ride from Camarillo to Ojai. It was a long journey, and the gloves performed excellently. Although the deerskin ones were Thinsulate-lined, these were not. They didn't need to be. The thick, supple leather keeps my hands from getting too cold. The classic understated gauntlet design looks the-part with my classic scooter. When people ask me about the gloves, I proudly tell them they are hand made from elkskin by the Fox Creek Leather Company right here in the USA. These gloves are the highest quality and most comfortable and durable gloves ever! I hope Fox Creek is around when these wear out, because I will be back for another pair just like these ones. They are worth every penny of the $60 I paid. Thank you Fox Creek Leather Company; I will be a loyal customer for life.

I ordered these for a strange and unusual purpose. (Now don't get kinky on me.) I actually don't ride but do stage combat with swords and such. I located these and thought I would give them a try.
Fox Creek sent them out really fast. There was a minor problem as the wrong gloves were sent; however, I contacted Fox Creek by phone and they sent out another pair right away with a return envelope. (Very professional!)
Well, the gloves are spectacular. They are incredibly sturdy but supple. They handle the rigors of battle really well and provide ample protection. (I can't say how they'd do hitting the pavement at 60 mph. but they are great.) The service from Fox Creek was so great I ordered another pair for a friend.
Keep up the good work! Mark

I looked REALLY long and hard for a set of Gauntlet winter gloves. Granted, my hands get colder than most people I know so take that into consideration, after searching long and hard and reading reviews here I FINALLY ordered a set of these. Can't beat the price, and these are the softest gloves I think I have ever felt. Really gorgeous. I live in Greenville South Carolina and Italy both. I ride extensively in each place. For me these gloves are a Spring and Fall glove. Under 45 they just didn't do it for me. As spring has come I have found them perfect and expect the same in the fall, I would NOT rate these for winter though. On a 34 degree day they just didn't do the job. At all. Perhaps bumping up to a better insulation would help. Thinsulate even at 100 grams really isn't that great. Other than that, great leather great quality.

I purchased my deerskin riding gloves after purchasing a vented racing jacket, chaps, and a braided Indian nickel vest, just because I was so impressed with all the other gear that I had purchased from Fox Creek Leather. As with all the other items, these gloves are absolutely the most comfortable gloves I have owned. I have worn them now, long enough for them to stretch and fit like a second skin. I plan to purchase a pair of lined gauntlets for the colder weather months, and will most definitely purchase them from Fox Creek Leather, the only place I will ever shop for leather.

We ordered these gloves just a few days ago, not knowing what to expect. We are extremely impressed with the quality and fit of these gloves. The sizing chart is right on the money, so use it! Thank you Fox Creek Leather!

As an owner of a well worn pair of Lee Parks Deer Tours, I was looking for a colder weather pair of gloves that would provide the same level of fit, quality and comfort that I had become used to.
My first inclination was to purchase the Lee Parks Deer Sport PCi gloves; however, I decided to save some money and try the FCL Drawstring Gauntlet gloves betting on the quality and craftsmanship of Fox Creek Leather. I was not disappointed. The leather is soft and supple, the overall quality and tactile feel is just like a heavier version of my Deer Tour gloves. The stitching and overall construction look to be just like my Deer Tours minus perhaps some of the extra leather on the back hand side of the glove. I can feel the controls and operate the tiny radio buttons.
I've worn the gloves in upper 40s/low 50s(F)temps without a liner in complete comfort. Since they're new, I've not yet tested them in colder weather but I think their temp limit might be somewhere north of 40F for me. The gauntlet fits easily over my jacket and I found that I didn't really need to use the drawstring. The velcro strap could be about a half inch longer to keep it from coming out of the guide but perhaps with more break-in it will adopt a "memory" and stay put. If you have and appreciate other Fox Creek Leather goods, these will not disappoint.

I originally bought these gloves because they fit in with my Halloween costume but they were so comfortable they replaced the old riding gloves I got at the dealership. The leather is so soft and has broken into my hand perfectly. The fit is excellent and there is no bunching in the palm at all. These gloves keep my hands cool and sweat-free on Austin's sun-baked highways. These are the first gloves I've bought from Fox Creek but I'm definitely going to get my winter gloves here. The quality is simply unparalleled.

I started this year of riding with a new pair of gloves. It's not that my predecessors weren't working - they were. It's just that when I had coated them in Montana's oil and placed them on a cookie sheet in the oven to warm up and melt the oil into the leather, I got side tracked on a phone call. The unique smell coming from our kitchen denoted the end of my gloves. Now, they were, "baby Lee Parks."
So.., this year I purchased a pair of the Fox Creek FCL Drawstring Gauntlets - Unlined. Very, very nice, to say the least.
I chose the unlined over the lined as I had found that the lined gloves at the peak of our warm weather were too hot causing my hands to sweat. I began riding this year in mid March, in-between snow falls and sunny days. One week lovely at 10 Celsius the next a freak snow storm and then melted. This is quite common for Spring in my area of the province.
During the months of March and April I wore a pair of one-size fits all knitted gloves as a liner inside my new FCLs. One practice I have heard about, but have not yet tried, is to put the knitted glove on followed by a surgical glove and then my leather glove. With just the two glove combination I was good for about an hour in the colder weather and then required a coffee break to warm up the fingers before continuing my mission.
Of late, that is - this May, I find the gloves just right for my every day use. Rain or shine I ride to the Hardware store where I work. The fit is awesome and the dexterity required to pick up a Looney (Canadian one dollar coin) is easy. Locating keys inside my Fox Creek Reflective jacket pockets has been without difficulty. I have grown to appreciate the gauntlets especially during the deluge last weekend that Mary-Anne, my wife, and I got caught in. The gloves were soaked yet retained both body heat and a sensitive grip on the controls throughout the ride in the storm.
Also, the "new to me" option is the one handed cuff drawstring that I was able to snug closed whilst on the move during the storm. Once closed off the rain was prohibited from working its way back up my wrists. During cold weather rides it keeps out the back-draft of cold air. And as always, the gauntlet deflects airborne debris, be it stones, sand or bees from impacting exposed flesh and hiding inside my jacket cuffs. Two years ago a yellow jacket wasp found its way into my right jacket cuff. It alerted me repeatedly that I had invaded its territory, all the while as I attempted to maintain proper bike handling protocol to pull over and then get it out of my jacket. It made its point - wear gauntlet gloves. I do without acceptation.
I also treat my new Fox Creek FCL Drawstring Gauntlets with Montana's Oil, only now I use Mary-Anne's hairdryer - when she's not home!

I really could not have appreciated the quality and feel of my new gloves without putting them to work. They are fantastic, and you can immediately tell the difference between quality and economy. My physician is a bike rider and he highly recommends gloves at all times (he has picked out his share of asphalt in the ER). I would also highly recommend the DeerTours and plan to always have a pair on hand! Fox Creek is the best at price, guarantee, and service. Thanks a million!

Your deerskin gauntlet gloves are the best motorcycling gloves I have used over the past 10 years. Comfortable from first wearing, they stay soft and supple as they age. Even after being rain soaked, if you air dry them, they do not stiffen up like other leathers; I put them on and flex them a couple of times and they are ready to go. Nothing equals their comfort and they are more durable than cowhide gloves. Thanks for a great product!

I recently received my new pair of Deluxe Lined Deerskin Gloves. Although they are a little tight due to my inaccurate measurements the quality is above all name brand gloves that I've seen. I would like to comment on the service however, I called and ask if the gloves would stretch out at all. I was told that they would stretch a little, but they would send out another pair one size larger. I explained that I was out of town at the time and that I would not be able to return ship the first pair back until I get home later this week. I received an email today with a tracking number from UPS and the new gloves will be delivered to my home tomorrow. The gloves will beat me home!! I called Fox Creek and spoke with Ashley and she explained that the gloves were shipped that evening. This has got to be the best business transaction that I have ever had. I have purchased a leather jacket from them in the past which is also a top of the line product. I would recommend them to anyone and will continue to pass on the recommendation to all my riding friends and family.
Fox Creek you go out of your way to please your customers and I commend you for that. It is a small business that really cares about their customers.
Thank you,

I had been poking around the web for some nice gloves to wear while driving and while I'm on the bike. I have some nice fingerless gloves already, and wanted something that was full fingered, but not a gauntlet. Had stopped off at the HD dealer last spring and bought some gloves. Not too bad, but the gloves were tight, not very comfortable and very thin. Not sure the type of leather that was used, but it just felt cheap. A couple of the guys on my Sportster forum suggested I check out Fox Creek and it's products. For the money, I though, why not a glove is a glove, right? Wrong. Came home from work last night to a small box on my porch with 2 pairs of gloves, the Deerskin driving glove and the Elkskin Gauntlet. I don't think I've ever felt anything this soft before!! Comfy and I wore them all night while I was out and about. Great feel, not overly tight when you follow the sizing instructions and they just felt really good. Would be a great spring/early summer full finger glove while riding too. You can feel all the switches and they are far from bulky. Great buy!! If all of Fox Creek's products are this good, I see a jacket in my future.
East Hartford, CT
I purchased these gloves several weeks ago when the weather started to turn cooler. My only regret is that I didn't order them sooner! They were shipped super fast and were better than expected when I got them. The fleece keeps my hands toasty in the lower 30's and upper 20's. I'd imagine that they could go colder and my hands would be fine, so far they haven't even been chilled. The fit is excellent. The quality of these gloves is impressive and I'm a very picky person. They are thick and yet still as soft as everyone claims they are. I can easily manipulate all of the controls with them on. I am extremely impressed with these gloves and will highly recommend them to my friends. I see a jacket and chaps coming soon in my future as well... Thank you for everything Fox Creek Leather!
