I've only used these gloves on one ride of about 75 miles, but so far they are solving the problem that I had with my previous "Swap Meet Specials".
These gloves do not have seams in the front of the fingers. And they don't have a seam in the notch between your thumb and your forefinger. That makes them instantly comfortable.
The elkskin leather is soft and thick. Now my wife wants a pair.
Strong, durable, excellent quality and comfy

Thick leather, stitched well. Worth every penny and arrived in 2-days. I'll buy again someday.

Best gloves ever...

Bought Lee Parks Deer Tours and sent them back. I used their size chart and ordered the right size (M). It was very tight to get the left one on and I couldn't get the right one on at all. The left thumb bottomed out while there was still 3/4" still left in the fingers. I must have odd hands. Ordered Fox Creek's Elkskin riding gloves and my first impression was like everyone elses...thick and a little stiff...at first. This morning I went riding and did about 100 miles. Wow!! Roomy but tight enough not to feel bulky, they're already starting to conform nicely and I'm pretty sure they're gonna be my best gloves ever. Oiled them up with MPB Leather Oil and it only improved them further. Alison at Fox Creek advised me on sizing and she was right on. I wear a Large Maverick so I take an XL in the Elkskins. Once again, Fox Creek's leather and their customer service is second to none. $55 for gloves like this is a great bargain.

So I got these 3 days ago. First day nice and soft on the outside, little stiff opening and closing hand. Bit odd feeling around the middle and ring finger where the stitching is. Rained that day didn't have rain gloves with me for when I got off work. Gloves got completely soaked. They are not water proof and don't claim to be. If you want waterproof go to your local grocery store and get a pair of dish washing gloves. They work perfectly and cost nothing. Anyway back to the gloves. Let the gloves dry overnight. Next day put them on got a good stretch out of them. Fit was better. That day was hot and humid. Figured my hands would be good and sweaty after my long ride home. Nope, dry as a bone. Today took off for work and the fit even better. Can't wait to see how well these are fitting in a year. Also how they hold up.
Long Time Review

I have had these gloves for around 5 years. I have rode likely 70-80 thousand miles with these gloves in every condition imaginable from below zero temps to well over 100, a hurricane, torrential rain, harsh sun sleet and hail. These gloves flat hold up to whatever you throw at them.
I have oiled and waxed them on occasion to keep them nice and pliable after extreme rain and sun and there just seems no end to their serviceability. I want a new pair of gloves but can't find a good reason to buy one.
Elkskin Driver Gloves

I was worried about the size I ordered but I took the advice of Fox Creek Leather and ordered the XL size. I took the bike out this last weekend and I have to think this is the finest pair of motorcycle gloves I have ever owned. The deerskin are thinner and good for most riding but I think these elkskin gloves are going to far surpass the deerskin.
