The Men's Commander Motorcycle Jacket has a full sleeve removable insulated liner, neck warmer, dual inside pockets, and adjustable snap sides at the waist. Armor provisional pockets in the elbows, shoulders, and back allow you the option of using body armor with your motorcycle jacket (back armor and shoulder and elbow armor available separately). The venting system has two arm vents, two rear exit vents and a front vent that runs down the inside edge of the generous exterior map pocket. Contents of the map pocket are secured when the vent is unzipped by the top snap on the pocket flap and an interior zipper closure that runs parallel to the zipper inside the pocket. There are three additional pockets inside the map pocket. An elastic cord with a clip is secured inside the map pocket. Anything you want to be able to access quickly can be clipped to the end and stowed in one of the inside pockets. Classic styling with good venting and an easily accessed storage area combine to make this one of our best selling motorcycle jackets.
NOTE:
T-Pro Armor may not fit all shoulder pockets unless it is trimmed to fit. Elbow and back armor should fit correctly without trimming.

After nearly 5 decades of riding and numerous cycle jackets, I've finally found one that works that I've worn for several years and tens of thousands of miles, the Commander! With the full arm length liner and neck warmer I've ridden comfortably into the lower 20's along with my Fox Creek Leather chaps.
It's heavy and protective but flexible and very comfortable. The leather and craftsmanship are second to none and I've had my share of U.S. Vansons and Scottish Aeros. While those manufacturers make a great product, they are stiff and uncomfortable for tens of thousands of break-in miles while the Fox Creek Leather comes "broken in", ready to put on the big miles and avoids the discomfort of initial hard spots and fatigue.
I also have a Fox Creek Leather Classic and find the Commander's side pockets placed just right for me as well as being very spacious, just one of many small things that in my opinion improves upon the Classic, at least for my build. While I'd say any Classic 50's style jacket is a triple, the Commander is a home run.

I just received this jacket as a Christmas gift. Wow! I've never seen such a high quality motorcycle jacket. This jacket is extremely well made, heavy, and warm. The fit is perfect!
Thanks Fox Creek Leather!

Until now, I've only worn classic-style motorcycle jackets in the $150-$200 price range and had a difficult time justifying the price. The other jackets were top-grain leather, not naked cowhide, and typically made in Pakistan, not America. Everything you read in the other reviews about the quality and suppleness of this product is true.
First observation: The Commander Motorcycle Jacket is worth the money -- even to a tight-wad like me.
I wear sleeveless tee shirts and I've had jackets where the mesh lining was uncomfortable. I was worried that this one would be no different. But it was different.
Second observation: The mesh lining in the Commander Motorcycle Jacket is comfortable.
I put 12K miles a year on my bikes and almost always wear a jacket -- even in Texas and Arizona when it is above 95 deg. And when it is cold (30's is cold to me), I use a plug-in full-sleeve liner.
Third observation: The arm and back vents work great. However, when zipped up tight, I still feel a little cold air leaking through the closed arm vents. Not bad, just noticeable.
From a design perspective, I couldn't tell from the pictures or description whether or not the collar snapped down and does not flap at speed. It does snap down. Also, the pockets are really well thought-out but big enough to lose stuff. Fourth observation: The Left Snap and Right Zipper inside pockets are great, but I'd prefer the left snap pocket to be smaller. Also, I would consider reversing them so riders without cruise control could easily access the snap pocket at speed. Those who carry a firearm might disagree.
As far as Fox Creek Leather customer service goes -- it cannot be beat. Follow their sizing recommendations and you cannot go wrong. I am now a customer for life.
