Perforated Jacket, 2004-11-01

When I purchased the perforated leather jacket I wasn't sure what to expect. But I did know that I wanted a summer riding jacket that offered good protection. The first ride on a 80 degree day bright sun was no problem. The jacket seemed to float on a cushion of air between my skin and the leather. Not a strong wind that you could feel but a mild breeze that kept you nice and cool. You did feel the heat when stopped but not like regular leathers. If you really want to beat the heat order the coat in a lighter color. Since it was September the warmest temps I encountered was 85 degrees and I was just fine. With the liner zipped in and a long sleeve shirt I was comfortable on a 60 degree morning. The coat has the same quality build as the regular vented jacket, which I also own. So if you are a fair weather rider or live in a warm southern climte this may be only jacket that you need.

Make riding in hot weather a breeze!, 2006-09-23

I've worn this very well constructed, perforated jacket for the last two years in the Los Angeles heat, on trips up the Pacific Coast, the Sierras, Tahoe, Yosemite, to the deserts of Arizona, Nevada.. to Utah. While others are riding in their shirt sleeves or vests, I've kept comfortable and safer over 24K miles. It's like having a light breeze flowing through you. By layering with or without the liner, thicker jerseys, I'm good for a wide range of temperatures. I have a heavier Fox Creek Jacket, but it comes out only in much colder weather. Great jacket... and get the leather cleaning products too. I'm 5'11 195 lbs... 45-46 chest, 36 waist... the size 48 fits right.

Nearly Perfect, 2006-04-12

After a year of riding with the Perforated Leather Jacket in our super San Diego weather, I have found it to be nearly perfect. The perforations work to keep me comfortable in the summer and the zip-in liner will keep my body warm on cold days, but it does nothing to keep my arms warm. My solution is to leave the liner out and wear a BMW phase change material wind breaker as a layer underneath. I have worn this combination in temps. down into the low 40s with just a t-shirt underneath. The fit and finish are still perfect and I would not hesitate to buy again or recommend this jacket to a friend.

For those hot humid days, 2005-07-30

Fantastic jacket, comfortable, light & cool. I heard about this product originally when I was in the USA from a biking buddy. While stuck in a traffic jam on the south coast of England on a roasting day last month I decided to order one. The people at Fox Creek Leather are really helpful and went out of their way to help me in every way they could.
I shall be recommending this product to all my motorcycling friends. It's not as hot in the UK as a lot of the States but it gets really humid and is up around 90 degrees in the summer months. This jacket feels cool even when you're still in traffic but when your moving, even slowly, it's great. Those days when you're riding and you're so hot and sticky that you wonder why your doing it. This is the jacket for that sort of day. Great product.
