Great Bags 2007-06-06

by Linda from CHESTERTON, IN

Linda's 07 Fatboy equipped with Fox Creek Fatboy saddlebags.

I just purchased a 2007 Fat Boy for which I needed saddlebags. I was going to purchase another well known companies bags, but decided they were way too small and too expensive. I then looked into a local leather maker and was quoted a price of around $900. Great quality but much too expensive.

I did a Google search and found Fox Creek Leather. After reading how your bags are made and seeing the quality in the pictures, I decided these were the bags for my bike.

Upon quickly receiving my shipment and opening the box, I found saddlebags that surpassed my expectations. The quality and design of these bags are unbelievable. The leather is beautiful and after having another companies bags on my other bike, I can truly say from experience that your bags are much better. I love the yoke and the inside zippered compartments. Alot will fit in these bags!

The next thing I have to comment on is the ease of putting them on my bike. I undid the seat screw, attached the fender guard to the bags, placed them over the fender and replaced the seat screw. I then tied the back of the bags to the bike using the attached back straps. From start to finish, the job took about 15 minutes. They did not need to be adjusted, although you provide room for adjustment.

I am a very happy customer and would encourage anyone needing leather products to order them from Fox Creek Leather.

Beautiful Bags ... Great Service! 2004-01-03

Bill Garlinghous's Duece sporting a pair of Fox Creek's Fatboy Saddlebags

Gorgeous leather, impeccable construction. I wanted a pair of bags to compliment my HD Softail Deuce, and these do it. Mounted them with Easy Brackets and their mounting system for the Deuce. Service was way above and beyond! When Fox was delayed by a vendor, they shipped me a loaner set at no cost so that I'd have saddle bags for my fall cruise. Great folk, great product, great service!

Fatboy Saddlebags 2004-11-20

Just received your 2600 series saddlebags for my fatboy, and can only say WOW! I researched bags for months and found your site. Your customer service was extremely helpful, and the bags were delivered right on time. Was concerned with the need for mounting brackets, and your customer service indicated that they have had good feedback that they would not be necessary, and they were right. The fit is perfect, and the quality is the best. I\'ll be ordering more in the near future.

Thanks

Brad

Fat Boy Saddlebags 2004-11-11

I purchased a set of your FatBoy Bags for my Honda Shadow Sabre. I used the yoke and brackets and the bags fit great with plenty of clearance above the pipes. These bags were definitely worth the money, the quality and finish are great. YOU DO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!!!! Everyone who sees them is impressed. They hang nicely and blend in well with the look of the bike which is black and stealthy. Great products and customer support. It was a pleasure doing business with you.

Thanks.

Oregon Coast trip 2005-11-21

by Brad from , WA

Wanted to share this with you, as I am a loyal customer of Fox Creek Leather.

With my 02 Custom Fatboy, my Fox Creek Classic II Jacket and my Fox Creek Fatboy Saddlebags packed, I headed to the Oregon coast from eastern Washington for 4 days of cruising and camping along the way.

The first day across Washington into Oregon was a sunny, 86 degrees, slipping into the 50s through the mountains. With my jacket vents open in the heat, I stayed cool and comfortable, and warm through the mountains when I zipped the vents closed. I remained comfortable through a mix of sun and rain over the next few days, and all of my gear in my saddlebags remained bone dry during a hard rain.

As a matter of fact, the only part of me that got wet was my legs, as my chaps, (not Fox Creek) got soaked. Fox Creek chaps will be my next purchase.

I love your products, and the quality outranks everything I've seen.

Fast Service & Quality Bags 2005-04-06

by Bobby Bailey from De Queen, AR

Over the winter my son wanted to add some saddlebags to his 2004 XL883. We looked at many different bags by many different makers. Anything that looked of quality was so expensive. Then I remembered the Classic II jacket I got from Fox Creek and its quality and good price. We checked out the Fox Creek Fatboy saddle bags and he liked the looks and the suggestion of using Easy Brackets for mounting (though we used Ghost Brackets). So we ordered the Fatboy bags and if I had not already seen your fast service we would have been surprised at how soon the bags came in. My son and I were really impressed by the looks and the Quality of the bags. They are much better quality than any of the expensive bags we looked at. They look great on the bike!

FATBOY SADDLEBAGS - 2006 VULCAN 2000 2007-07-25

by Armando Longoria from GEORGETOWN, TX

4 of 8 people found this review helpful.

I purchased the Fatboy Saddlebags for my 2006 Kawasaki Vulcan 2000. I decided on the bags with the removable zip-off yoke. OUTSTANDING! The workmanship on this leather product is super. Attention to fine detail, such as the stitching is truly unbelievable...no loose ends or stray threads. Truly remarkable… Fellow motorcycle enthusiasts, I searched the web and found less expensive products but as cheap in quality as they were inexpensive. These Fatboy bags have so much storage and also little compartments within each bag useful for booklets and other small items you wish to secure at a moments notice. The leather is pure quality as well as soft and pleasing to the touch and eye.

I was worried about how the removable yoke was going to work with the quick release mounting EASY BRACKETS system. No problem. The brace fits perfect on the back of the saddlebag and after attaching the brace onto the bag and removing the yoke, the saddlebag has a handle-looking flap that is long enough to cover the zipper and tucks between the bag and the bike to protect not only the zipper but also the bike from the zipper. The removable yoke doubles as an additional carrier of the saddlebags as I previously mentioned that each bag has a handle-looking flap. If you purchase the saddlebags with the removable yoke and also decide to purchase the quick release mounting EASY BRACKET system, you won’t have to worry about purchasing SADDLEBAG FENDER GUARDS nor the EASY TOTES HANDLE as the EASY BRACKET keeps the bag off the bike and the saddlebag handle/yoke flap protects the bike form the zipper, and the removable yoke will serve as a second handle therefore not needing the Easy Tote Handle.

The EASY BRACKET was simple & "easy" to attach to the saddlebags. You first install the hardware on the bike, then position the bags at the proper height where they clear your pipes, then you mark the holes on the back of each bag and drill. NOTE: Remember when you are drilling that you have that extra zipper bag inside your saddlebags that you want to physically hold out of the way so that your drill bit does not catch and possibly destroy the added feature. Very easy and somewhat quick but take your time and do the job well.

I'm happy with my Fatboy Saddlebags and with the young lady at Fox Creek Leather customer service who had most all the answers to my questions and found the answers to the ones she was not certain. I am also pleased with her recommendation of not purchasing the EASY TOTE HANDLE since the removable yoke would serve that same carrying purpose. She saved me $$$$.

Thanks

Fatboy Bags on a Fatboy 2010-11-01

by Bob from Clear Spring, Maryland

I spent a lot of time researching saddlebags for my 2009 H-D Fatboy. Tried many sources to include H-D's own brand. I wanted bags that complimented the style of the bike, not something that looked like two "depth charges" hanging off a ship. I found the perfect bags at the Fox Creek shop.

The bags went on a totally stock 2009 H-D Fatboy with factory exhausts. I put the bags on as throwovers and did not use any mounting system. The bags fit great, clearance between the bottom of the right hand bag and the exhaust pipe is about 1 1/2 inches. Also, I did not have to move the rear turn signals, bags fit perfectly between seat and rear signals.

The only downside to the bags was the use of the Saddlebag Fender Guard, the thickness of the guard plus the thickness of the yoke made it impossible to screw in the seat mounting screw in the rear fender. Once I took off the fender guard, the mounting screw went in fine.

Made in USA 2010-01-08

I bought a pair of saddlebags from you back in October. I think they compliment the bike very well. I am pleased with the bags and the easy brackets. Everyone who has seen the bags on the bike likes them and wants to know where I bought them. One of the reasons that I looked at your products was that they are made in the USA.

Thank you very much for your service.

Marc's 2004 Fatboy 2009-01-18

by Terry from Hastings, MI

3 of 5 people found this review helpful.

I have seen these bags because I helped him put them on his bike. The Easy Brackets made the whole job so easy. All we did is remove a couple bolts, mount the hardware, put the brackets on the bags and were on the road. I think the whole job took about 2hrs. From what I see the Easy Brackets system is a nice touch to the bags because the ease of taking them on and off and being able to lock them on the mounting hard wear is a real nice feature. From what I see these bags and Easy Brackets will last a very long time. I like how the bags are made, quality leather, very well stitched, easy open and close with plenty of room to put your things in. These are a very well made USA product. Keep up the good work.
