I just installed the FATBOY Fringed Saddlebags on my 2003 VTX 1800R. Okay I lied, the dealer installed them. Even he was impressed by the nice finish and how well the bags fit the bike.
The fringe bags look great on the Retro look of the VTX. I choose the Fox Creek saddle bags because I think they fit the profile of the VTX better than the official Honda bags. The fringe bags are narrower than the Honda bags, I think the weather flap, fringe and slim look give you a better look. The bags have adequate room for storage for a short trip. I am impressed by the soft feel and quality look of the bags. I choose the yoke bags with a zip off feature.
I used the boss racks to tie the bags down. This is the third product I have bought from Fox Creek Leather (the head on photo shows the plain tool bag). The quality is fantastic.
