Excellent Glove!, 2006-12-17

I've been using these gloves daily since they arrived over a week ago. I knew from the first use that they were going to be my favorite all around glove. I bought them tight, as I like em to be, and I treated them with the FCL Leather Oil and Conditioner. After the first two days they became form fitted to my entire hand.
They are extremely comfortable , very soft, and a quality riding glove. They clean up great at the end of the day, and the Elk skin sure is durable. These skins should last a very long time. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone for any climate riding.

Ordered these gloves sometime late Saturday night. Received an email Monday morning saying they had been shipped.
Got home from work today (Wednesday) and the package was waiting in my mailbox. Amazing delivery time...especially to Oklahoma!
As for the gloves themselves, I opened the package and slipped the gloves on. The feel of the leather was great! Knowing how leather stretches and forms to fit, I ordered the gloves to fit a bit tight. I flexed my hands a bit to get the feel for the glove and headed right out on my Road King for a short ride.
Having purchased "inferior" products in the past, I could feel the difference! These gloves are nice and thick but soft enough to give a good feel for the bike controls.
After my ride, I used my favorite leather treatment, Lexol, on them. The leather drank in the conditioner and the gloves seemed to just "relax" and form to my hands.
I cannot wait to do some more riding. I ride literally everyday for work and ride untold miles with my wife. This is my first experience with Fox Creek and with Elkskin leather.
Echoing some of the other comments I've read on your site: "If the craftsmanship of these gloves is indicative of the type of products you make, I see a Fox Creek jacket, some chaps and some winter riding gloves in my future."

Elkskin Gloves Survive The Wet, 2009-06-23

I totally agree with the other reviewers about these gloves. They are high quality, thick, durable, comfortable, and good looking. Elkskin is also more heat and abrasion resistant than other leathers. Elkskin is used for firemen's gloves because of their extra resistance to heat. Nice thing to have if you touch a hot engine or exhaust! The main reason for this review is because I got caught in the rain with mine. My pair are relatively new...only a couple of months old. I rode in a heavy rain for 3 hours with these gloves on. My hands stayed dry for 2 hours. The rain finally soaked through to my hands in the 3rd hour. However, my hands never really felt wet, I was still able to ride comfortably, and had excellent feel for the controls. When I took the gloves off, I expected my hands to be BLACK from the dye. No way...my hands had only a slight tint of black, and it washed right off! I laid the gloves out to air dry, and they were completely dry the next morning. No shrinking or stretching...they fit exactly as before. I wore them riding that day. I am very impressed. I will never wear anything else. Thanks Fox Creek Leather!

Don't be a dope, buy a pair!, 2009-02-05

These are the gloves by which you will measure every other glove. And the others will always fall short. I have had these gloves for a year and I wear them every chance that I get. The only time I wear other gloves is when it is cold (below 50) and I'm riding more than 20 miles or so. I figure that I've ridden 6,000 miles with them and they still look almost brand new. The leather is incredibly heavy but quite supple. There is nothing that I don't like about them. The seams are in the right places and don't irritate. They are thick, but don't bunch up under my palm. They go great with my Fox Creek Jacket as well as with my jean jacket. Heck, on hot days, I'll even wear them with just a t-shirt. I now have several garments from Fox Creek and I won't even think of buying leather from anyone else. The quality of the materials and the workmanship is the best that I've seen. You can stop searching for the right all-purpose glove. You've found it. Now pry your credit card from your wallet and order a pair. You'll be glad you did.
