Why?

*Some of our Men's Grayson Motorcycle Jackets do not have the armor pockets. We are transitioning to all Grayson jackets having armor pockets, but during the transition there are limited sizes that are available without armor pockets. If you don't want armor pockets, please indicate it in the notes and we will ship as available.

The Men's Grayson Motorcycle Jacket has a full sleeve removable insulated liner, neck warmer, dual inside pockets, and snap side adjustment. The venting system has two arm vents and two rear exit vents, and is cut long in the back with a padded kidney panel. Dual sleeve and rear vents move the air easily through a mesh shell while an internal wind flap stops it cold at the zipper. A zip out full sleeve insulated liner completes the climate control package. Armor provisional pockets in the elbows, shoulders, and back allow you the option of using body armor with your motorcycle jacket (back armor and shoulder and elbow armor available separately).

NOTE:
T-Pro Armor may not fit all shoulder pockets unless it is trimmed to fit. Elbow and back armor should fit correctly without trimming.

Please read How Your Motorcycle Jacket Is Supposed To Fit if you have questions on sizing a jacket.

Grayson Jacket 2009-10-14

I gotta give as many stars as allowed on this jacket. The fit is perfect; I am a 42" chest with a t-shirt and heavy button down denim so I ordered a 42" chest, like I said perfect. The finish is outstanding. Without a doubt the best bang for the buck I could find.

STOP LOOKING!!! 2009-10-16

If you are looking for a good quality, AMERICAN MADE, leather jacket then STOP!!! You have just found that kind of jacket. I ride a Yamaha FZ1, a sport bike. I was looking for a sport style leather jacket, with plenty of protection and made in the states. The Grayson is just what I was looking for. I had checked out some of the name brands and some of the less popular ones. All of them made in either Vietnam or China. I actually had the zipper on an Alpinestars jacket come apart on me while zipping it up in the store. I would hate to see what would have happened in a crash. You just don't get the quality you are paying for.

Not the case with FOX CREEK LEATHER. Once you open the box and see this jacket you will wish you had ordered it sooner. I have put in some serious ride time with this jacket. In warm weather with the vents open it is still comfortable. The fit on this jacket is so awesome. It just seems to be getting better and better. Also having the armor in the jacket makes you feel even safer. The armor stays in place unlike some of the China brands. So with all this said, do yourself a favor and get this jacket. You will not be disappointed. But if for some reason you do have an issue with this jacket. You will not find a better group of people to deal with than the FOX CREEK LEATHER group. They are outstanding!!!!!!!

Awsome 2009-05-05

I was in the market for a new leather jacket, the zipper on my old one, the "Legend", finally gave out after 20 some years. It must have shrunk a little too during that time.

I checked the few local shops in central NY, HD jackets are nice but not on a Valkyrie. I was bound and determined not to buy sight unseen from the internet, but I used the tool to look up different styles. The Grayson was everything I was looking for in a jacket. I knew right away, there were plenty of close up images on the website showing the attributes.

If I was going to spend the money I knew it would have to be built with the features I wanted. I bit the bullet and bought online, seeing that Fox Creek Leather had a lot of positive reviews on customer service, and it shipped within a few days. The Grayson is a great jacket. It was everything I hoped for as described in the website. Great fit and quality leather, you can't ask for anything more.

Only jacket I'll ride with! 2010-07-24

Over the past 50 years on two wheels I've had the opportunity to own many fine riding jackets - classics and racers, and calfskins and horsehides. But now that I've put about 10,000 miles on it, I have to say that Fox Creek's Grayson is the best of the bunch. First, it's American made by American craftspeople. No racism or prejucice implied; I just believe USA workers come first regardless of their heritage. Next, everything fits and works like a rider wants - zippers zip, vents vent, the liner lines, and enough pockets hold the stuff I want to carry on me, not on the bike. Next, the jacket looks and feels like it might be heavy when you pick it up for the first time but when you have it on, it's barely noticeable. Finally, there's absolutely no stiffness in the leather. It's like the advertisers's say - it feels completely broken in right out of the box. I know those of us who ride are an independent bunch and like to make up our own minds about things - that's how it should be. But if you're looking for an opinion about getting a REAL all weather riding jacket at a fair price, you need look no further than the Grayson. Shiny side up and all that stuff....

After deciding that I wanted a leather motorcycle jacket, I spent a lot of time researching all of the various brands out there...only to find that there are not many USA made leather jackets that offer good venting and body armor. The choices came down to Vanson and Fox Creek. Ultimately, I went with the Grayson and I have been very happy.

Initial impressions- The leather quality is top notch, fit is perfect. The hardware is high quality and the construction is robust. There are plenty of pockets to hold your stuff. The liner is warm, easy to install, and the neck gaiter is a nice touch. The body armor is of the highest quality(more on this later). The jacket also came with three free leather care products.

After Riding around 600 miles in my jacket- The jacket has continued to impress me. It is warm on cool days, and the venting is very effective at moving a lot of air past your body even on hot days. I have ridden a few days where there was a 50 degree temp. swing and the Grayson adapted to both extremes. I have been caught in two MAJOR rain storms while wearing the jacket. The first one soaked through the leather almost instantly...so I would advise folks to treat their leather with the provided waterproofing wax that comes with the jacket. The next shower took MUCH longer to get through the leather after I had applied the wax. Despite two complete soakings, the leather has remained soft and supple and did not bleed any color.

Concerns- There are only two issues I've had with this jacket. First, the sleeve zips do not close the cuffs enough to provide a good tight seal around my wrists, so cold air can go right up my arms. Second, while the body armor quality is top notch, Fox creek has decided to use the same pad for the elbows and shoulders which causes some odd shifting of the elbow pads(smaller armor pouches may fix this). The special pads are available and every other jacket I've owned had location specific armor- which I believe would be more protective. The back pad, however, is perfect.

In conclusion, aside from the two problems outlined above, I have been very pleased with this purchase. The quality and fit are great, and I can't say enough about the customer service. Add in a lifetime warranty for a USA made product and I don't see how you can go wrong!

As good as it gets. 2010-12-03

What a great jacket. I bought a Grayson jacket, after looking far and wide. All over the world actually. As soon as I saw a picture of the jacket and read a few testimonials I ordered my jacket. After taking a few measurements I ordered a 44" jacket. I live in Australia and have never bought clothes off the net before, and I was a bit worried. My jacket arrived in 4 days from the states. The jacket fit perfectly and the quality is outstanding. What great service and a quality product. I would recommend Fox Creek Leather to anyone looking for a good jacket.

Coolest looking jacket ever......... 2010-01-19

The clean look of the jacket is what got me interested in the first place. That and the timeless design. Lots of jackets nowadays look like kids drawings with all the loud colors and weird designs.

I was looking around quite some time because my old jacket was causing scratches on the tank. (Perfecto from Schott). Since I ride sports bikes and lean forward it doesn't really work out. Plus I always had a cold lower back. Racing jackets (here in Europe at least) are either suitable in really nice weather and are too snug or become bulky when they are also suited for colder weather. They only make sense when you sit on the bike. If you walk around with your jacket on, your arms are bent and it's only comfortable when you don't close the zipper. Plus they always have something (design, lettering, weird colors on it) that I don't like.

When I saw the Black Rock jacket I wanted one. Too bad it's being discontinued and my size isn't available. So I checked out the Grayson. I have been looking at the testimonials for this jacket and I usually take them with a grain of salt. But I can now safely say that the reviews are accurate. When there was a special offer I immediately bought it.

It arrived rather fast. Too bad that the Customs Officers decided that the Ministry of Finances needed some funding.

Other than that, what can I say? The jacket fits perfectly and I'm glad I measured myself with a sweater on because now in the winter I can still wear it. The neck warmer is something that should be mandatory for all these kind of jackets. I went for a ride in the cold and it was warm and windproof.

The fit is good, the leather is already broken in, all the features are handy and useful and best of all it looks great.

I always thought that the price was a bit steep but it's worth every euro. It's actually rather affordable because the exchange rate is very profitable now for us Europeans.

My only regret is that I never bought one earlier.

This jacket rocks. Its super heavy duty leather and hardware make it bomb proof. Its made in USA and that's important to me. The custom fit option helped me achieve true made to order fit. This is the best jacket money can buy. So quit reading the reviews and buy this jacket!

I received my custom jacket today and it not only fits perfect, but is absolutely beautiful. Whoever makes them does a wonderful job, and I cannot get past how soft and wonderful the leather feels. The jacket is very substantial and I am extremely satisfied with it. I feel that my money has been well spent and I look forward to enjoying this jacket for many years, Thank you Fox Creek Leather!

When I removed this jacket from the box my first thought was this jacket is heavy, but after I put it on it was very comfortable.

After wiping out and being hit on my last bike I make it a point of always wearing my jacket, helmet, and gloves.

I went down to DC for the Rolling Thunder event. The weather was warm but with the vents on the jacket open it was a very comfortable ride. The fit of the jacket is very good. I am 5 ft 5 in tall with a 48 chest and the length was perfect.

I also purchased my gloves and vest from Fox Creek. Dealing with Fox Creek was a real pleasure. The people I spoke to were very helpful and polite. Several times the conversation would turn to riding bikes and living in different parts of our country. Another thing dealing with Fox Creek was the products are made in America. I am firm believer we should deal with our people first then the rest of the world.
