I purchased this vest for summer riding after I got a jacket from Fox Creek. I must say, after seeing the quality and workmanship of the jacket, the vest was no different. I absolutely love it! It fits exactly as it should, and the quality is top notch! I would not hesitate if you are looking for a great vest made in the USA! Lifetime warranty too, what more could you ask for?! Fox Creek makes the best leather goods and their customer service could not be any better! Everybody I had contact with was so friendly and knowledgeable! I would not buy leather gear from anybody else, this is the place! I highly recommend this vest, or any of Fox Creek's leather gear!

It usually takes a lot for me to write a review but I couldn't let this one slide. After getting caught in a thunder storm and having my old vest get soaked, it seemed that it shrunk because it just never fit right after that. I put up with wearing vest extenders for almost two seasons (and no, I didn't just gain a lot of weight). My old vest was irreplaceable. Even after looking endlessly online and going back to the place I purchased it from, there were just none of that style to be had.
So now the search was on for a new one. Not only was I going to find a new style, but I really wanted, if possible, to find one that was made here in the US. I was very skeptical about buying online, not because I never do, but because when you buy a piece of clothing you know you have to try it on first. So I first looked around at the local leather store but only found "foreign" made vests. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I mean just look around, barely anything is made in this country anymore. But like I said, my preference was to buy American, especially for something like this, because I plan on having it a long, long time.
So I found my top three online choices, my third being a foreign made vest, and I had my plan. I was going to buy from my first choice, if that didn't work I would return it and move down the list. My main reasons for making Fox Creek number one on my list was first they had the style I wanted. I went with the classic biker club vest but with a v-neck. My old vest had a v-neck and I knew that's what I wanted, especially on hot days. Second, they offered American made products. And third, the other reviews I read from happy customers- that meant a lot. As far as price, they were a bit less than my second choice and a bit more than my third choice. But price wasn't THAT important to me, I looked at this as an investment.
Now, it was time to place the order. I followed their sizing recommendations/measurements to the letter. I placed my order with no hiccups and crossed my fingers. Two days later the vest arrived - two days! Now I don't know if it'll be that fast for everyone, it probably depends on where you live in the country -I'm in Illinois- but that was fast. When I opened the box the scent of fresh leather filled the room, Ahhhh. I could tell as soon as I pulled the vest out of the box, even before unfolding it, even if it didn't fit, or I didn't like it, the weight of this vest spoke "quality".
After getting over the high of inhaling fresh leather, I unfolded it and inspected it for defects, and quality of workmanship. I found no defects whatsoever. The stitching was perfect, the leather was top grade, and the hardware robust. Now came the moment of truth, trying it on. And that's why I entitled my review "Pleasantly Surprised" - because I was. On top of everything else, the fit is perfect and I know, barring any unforeseen disasters, that I will enjoy this exceptional vest for a long time to come.
And to know that this piece is made here by my fellow countrymen is just a big ole bonus. Thanks Fox Creek Leather for keeping Americans working and providing such value at such reasonable prices. So for those taking the time to read this rather long review, in my opinion, if Fox Creek Leather has the style you want, you can't go wrong by choosing them. And you, like me, might also be "Pleasantly Surprised".

I recently ordered a custom version of this vest. I asked for thicker leather, no lower pockets, full back and side laces. For a nominal cost, I got what I asked for....and more. This is a wonderful vest!!!
I wanted this for days when I just wanted a t-shirt, but if I wanted a hoodie or denim jacket on, had the laces to open it up. This vest wears as it should when on the bike, no "bunching up". This is a heavy vest!!! Leather is thick, yet soft and pliable. The fit is very "custom". Like it was measured to fit me. I was told it could take 8-10 weeks, got in in just over 4. Wonderful vest by a wonderful American company!! THANK YOU!
Great buy. :)

I picked this vest up in February of 2014. It was comfortable and heavy and although a smudge stiff, it relaxed as I wore it in. To this day, it is still supple and the craftsmanship is top notch.
I highly recommend this vest.

Mine was a custom order. Fit and Finish over all..Awesome! Time frame for custom work was as described on the website. No surprises.
Dual gun pockets, are a snug fit for a SW M60 3in, but the snaps will close.
One word of caution though. Fit and Finish is awesome...so triple check your measurements before ordering. You will literally "get what you order".
If you plan to wear it as a cut over your jacket, make SURE your measurements reflect that, have someone else measure it for you.
The arm holes on this particular vest are a close fit. Therefore not a lot of wiggle room for wearing over a jacket. I based my custom order on a size 42, I should have up'ed it to a size 44. When in doubt..size it up.
Actually there is one small issue.. After wearing this vest for the past few months, I have decided that I really don't care for this particular design. So I placed an order for the Highway 21...in a size 44 ;-)
V Neck Rebel Vest Review
Posted by Steve B on Apr 15th 2014
I received my V Neck Leather Rebel Vest last week and have worn it a few times. Immediately I found the leather to be the softest I have ever felt and needing no break-in period. The buttons were solid and worked well. The fit was exactly what I expected as I went by the sizing chart.
I've placed a few guns in the gun pocket and found the largest gun of mine that would fit was my Glock 27, but felt the weight a little much for the vest. A smaller gun such as my Ruger LC9 will likely work better.
Very comfortable to wear during my rides and good protection from mild weather, bugs etc. Ordering was easy and delivery as promised. I found pricing to be competitive, especially with free delivery and no tax. Thanks Fox Creek Leather!
