I bought the heavy-duty sissy bar bag this past summer and after using it for a few months, I must say that it is probably the best $90 I have ever spent on my bike (at least for something that isn't chrome ha ha). Having a cruiser is nice, but (without the saddlebags on) unless you can carry it on you, you aren't bringing it along. In the summer heat, that means a cell phone and wallet at best.
The heavy-duty sissy bar bag from Fox Creek Leather is everything I hoped it would be. Now I can carry extra lenses for my glasses (and the case even), my cell phone, a baseball hat (folded in half), a few small tools, and still have room for a few other things. I got caught in the rain a few times, and nothing was wet when I got home. The whole thing is well made, and the straps are great too. I thought I might not like the actual buckles as opposed to quick-release buckles, but it turns out that now I like the old-fashioned buckles better.
Just today, the wife and I went for a ride to a friend's BBQ. We fit some small tools, an air pressure gauge, two pairs of regular sunglasses (in cases), a cell phone, AND a 12-oz can of lemonade and we probably still would have had room for something else if we needed it. It was nice not to have to put the saddlebags on (or stuff our jacket pockets) just to take a few small things along.
The only bad thing I can think of is that it's a bit of a pain to get strapped on to the sissy bar the first few times. After doing it once or twice and figuring it out, it's a piece of cake. It stays on really well too - I haven't even had to adjust it after 1700 miles of riding this fall.
If you need a little bit of storage on your bike, look no further. I can't recommend the Fox Creek heavy-duty sissy bar bag enough! It looks great, is very well made, and you don't have to adjust the straps all the time. You won't regret buying it.

I am currently serving in Iraq and returned home on my vacation to purchase an HD FLSTF Fat Boy. I knew I needed something to carry some small items in but didn't want to put saddle bags on just yet. That's where your Heavy Duty Sissy Bar Bag came in. I was worried that it might be too small and I wouldn't be able to fit much in it. I was wrong! The bag is more than enough to put a few necessary items in. I always wear a hat so that goes in the bag until I park. A bottle of water. And if I'm riding to the store it's more than enough to put a few items in. The straps are adjustable for taller items such as a ketchup bottle (one of those last minute necessities in the middle of the summer!). I have an HD sissy bar and this bag attaches snugly to it via two straps. I highly suggest this bag for those needing some luggage but not wanting to go all the way.
Thanks Fox Creek!

I got the Heavy Duty Bag with studs. The bag itself is very sturdy, even stiff, and the buckles and studs are good quality. I wish I could say the same for the straps. If you are into quality and good looks for your bike, this bag is the one to get but just don't plan on using the straps, cause they ain't worth a plug nickel. I would include a picture (would love to) but I haven't figured out how to mount the thing properly on my bike (I am very particular about my bike). I will post an update as soon as I accomplish this little bit of American engineering and have the bag secured on my bike. The straps are flimsy, like something you get by mail order from China, and tore apart when I tried to pull them taught; I would have gladly paid more for quality straps but no biggie, I will get my own or make them myself. Ride on . . .
