The Men's Grayson Leather Motorcycle Jacket has a full sleeve removable insulated liner, neck warmer, dual inside pockets, extended kidney panel, and snap side adjustment. The venting system has two arm vents and two rear exit vents for optimal airflow. Dual sleeve and rear vents move the air easily through a mesh shell while an internal wind flap stops it cold at the zipper. A zip out full sleeve insulated liner completes the climate control package. Armor provisional pockets in the elbows, shoulders, and back allow you the option of using body armor with your motorcycle jacket
T-Pro Armor may not fit all shoulder pockets unless it is trimmed to fit. Elbow and back armor should fit correctly without trimming.

I held off on a review until I truly got some miles on this jacket. All in all, this jacket was a terrific purchase that I would fully endorse. I can honestly say that I have never seen or felt better and more sturdy leather on a motorcycle jacket. I am consistently receiving compliments on the feel and "heft" of this jacket from riders and non-riders alike.
On the bike, this jacket is everything I need. It has plenty of ventilation for the summer days and on fall and spring trips to Pittsburgh and up the PCH, respectively, this jacket has totally handled the elements. One added benefit, the soft and thick leather makes for a decent tent pad if you ever need to save on space for a bike/camping trip.
Its important to note that the fit of this jacket is a bit different than most I have tried. The arms, shoulders and waist all tend to ring true against most "cafe" jackets on the market. I've noticed that this jacket is somewhat (possibly 0.5") shorter than like jackets, e.g. BMG Montana. But, because of the scooped back it doesn't make much of a difference on the bike. Off the bike, the jacket can appear to be a bit too cropped. On the bike, it may be a benefit as it helps from the jacket bunching up in the front, and I have never felt any real airflow on gold days. Not in any way an issue for most and I'm thrilled with the jacket, but I thought I'd let the next guy know.
All in all, great jacket and a great company to purchase from (they answered all of my 1,000,001 questions).

I researched leather motorcycle jackets for almost a year. Looking for a retro style jacket, I went to cycle shops, online retailers, and dealers. Finally, I came across Fox Creek and wow!
My jacket fits perfectly and it looks cool. My chest measured 41 inches with a thin sweatshirt and the 42 jacket fits great with and without the liner. The jacket is also stylish enough to wear out so I don't feel like I spent too much on just motorcycle gear. Some of the euro style jackets with their logos and super tight fits wouldn't be as functional.
The quality is pure American made. Sturdy and rugged, this jacket is made to last. Buy this jacket and it will be your last.

Have had my Grayson since 6/2010 and here are a few observations:
The leather wears quite well, and is getting a nice patina in the creases and shoulders where the sun hits. I have taken good care of the hide and would be amazed if I did not have this jacket until I was on the wrong side of the turf.
Venting is really quite good for only being on the arms and the two in the back. I ride geared up all the time and while I have had the Grayson on up to 90F 80F is pretty much my max these days. Hotter than that I take out my armored textile.
I purchased the Forcefield armor and while it has worn quite well, and I have yet to test it out, if I were to buy the jacket again I would elect to use the new Klim or Icon D30 stuff.
So what has gone wrong? Two seasons ago both cuffs started coming apart at the seams. Contacted Fox Creek Leather, got a return number and had them fixed and back to me in a week IIRC. No more than 10 days I know that for sure. No issue since.
Other than the cuff seams I have YET to see a loose thread, rip in the lining or anything else negative. This is a jacket worth what I paid for it. I suggest to all I can to take a look at Fox Creek Leather.
I currently ride a very nice 1978 Suzuki GS750C and this jacket fits so well. NO multiple colors, panels, logos or other such nonsense. Well done Fox Creek!

I did a lot of research before buying this jacket as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. I received this jacket and instantly knew I made the right choice!
The leather was soft, yet durable and thick.
This is a wonderful jacket, it has tons of pockets, a great lining, and it's flexible. I couldn't recommend it more. They really thought of everything in this design.
Brilliant Wardrobe & Riding too!

I bought a Grayson Motorcycle Jacket online with all the specific measurements and had it brought over through a friend to Bangalore, India as I was not in the US those weeks.
It is a brilliant product and an essential in my wardrobe, whether I am at a get together, meeting, riding my Harley or walking the streets of San Francisco or London. I have lots of folks ask me; "wow, what are you wearing?". I bought it as I liked it and not to get noticed, but that's part of the deal I guess when you buy a Fox Creek Leather product!
Maybe I should take a franchise!
I had extremely high expectations, and they were still surpassed.

From all the research I did prior to buying, I knew to expect the following from Fox Creek Leather and the Grayson jacket in particular: heavyweight but supple. High quality assembly - stitching, hardware, etc. Perfect fit according to fitting chart. Outstanding customer service.
That's a high bar to set for an internet transaction, but I could not be happier even so. The sleeves are the perfect length, despite my long arms. When I raise my arms straight in front of me, they ride up less than two inches. The zipper on the wrists closes it tightly to lock in gauntlet gloves (or fit inside them) but not too tightly so they are uncomfortably tight or restrictive. The shoulders fit exactly right, and the drape of the leather is easy and natural, even stylish. That goes for when the jacket is by itself, with the included liner, AND with the liner + hoodie underneath. It's like magic how well this jacket fits. This is the only jacket (including winter coats, suits, sport jackets, etc) that has ever fit me off the shelf perfectly.
While the leather is supple and buttery, it is heavy enough that it will take a good deal of time to break in. This is a pro and a minor con - it will eventually fit me perfectly because it will take so long to break in that no day or week here and there of strange wear will affect it. However, until then I'll just have to get used to being poked in the chin by the collar. Seems fair to me!
I took the jacket and started pulling at seams to see how tightly they were sewn, and none of them separated at all. You can see the threads if you pull VERY hard, but only just barely. This means that if/when I come off the bike again, none of the important seams will be able to come apart. Only the leather will be able to touch the ground.
This jacket is plainly of such high quality, I expect to pass it on to my child/grandchild some day. I am 80% sure Fox Creek has sent me an heirloom- to- be. I cannot think of any way to improve on their business model or practices, or their products.

I am a repeat customer of Fox Creek Leathers. I never cease to be amazed at the quality these folks down in the Blue Ridge Mountains are able to build into their products. Some time ago I bought a heavy jacket and chaps from them and they are still in the condition they came in after much hard use. No Broken Zippers, Split Seams or Torn Leather after a lot of miles.
Today, UPS delivered a Grayson Jacket and a set of Elk Hide riding gloves to my door. I had ordered a 48 long but the young lady that took the order suggested a 50 long would be better based on my measurements. I tried the new jacket on and she had hit the nail on the head. A Perfect Fit! The jacket itself is drop dead gorgeous. Perfectly designed and put together by some real craftspeople who know exactly what they are doing.
At times I get down on Americas ability to manufacture things of the Highest Quality, Excellence of Design and Real Beauty. When that happens I pull one of my purchases from Fox Creek Leather out of the closet and my attitude instantly changes for the better. My bottom line after receiving the Grayson was to place another order 20 minutes ago with them for a light weight McQueen Dress Jacket. I can't wait!!!
P.S. The Deer Tours gloves appear to be the finest I have ever owned. I'll beat them up for awhile and slip in another review.
Better than Harley brands

I totaled my bike last October which lead me to purchase a new jacket. I have been looking at Fox Creek Leather for some time and now I "really" have a reason to purchase a jacket. This jacket is everything it and the reviews say it is. Hands down better than any Harley brand jacket I have ever purchased. Sizing charts are accurate. Leather is durable, soft, and the zippers will last for years to come. Great product!
The Jacket of My Dreams
Posted by Ben Bruce on Feb 5th 2013
First and foremost I want to thank everyone at Fox Creek Leather for good old fashioned American customer service.
I've been riding motorcycles since I was ten years old, my first bike was bought from an auction and pushed home by me, unknown to my mother. With help from our neighbors Volkswagen (ignition coil) I got it running. I grew up riding and working on bikes as well as crashing them.
I've been a professional Harley Davidson Technician for thirteen years now, I've been riding for 20+ years now. I have seen many leather jackets over the years. I have owned cheap Pakistani made leather up to Harley Davidson's premium FXRG leather jacket. My hd jacket was a little snug as I bought it when I lived in Florida and didn't account for winter layers. I did some looking online and found tons of positive reviews for Fox Creek Leather. I found the Grayson jacket on their website and knew that it was my next jacket. I first bought the jeans style leather vest, wow, but that's a different review.
This Christmas brought me the Grayson, the jacket of my dreams, well not exactly. It fit great, but a little long in the body, and a mixup sent the jacket without armor pockets. Not a big deal having dealt with them before, a quick call and the replacement was on its way. A few days later the jacket arrived, after trying it on and sitting on the bike I determined the length was an issue, and I would like a little more length in the sleeves, a personal preference. I took a lot of measurements and was certain what I wanted, I sent an email. Then made a phone call, we talked about my needs, and I also decided I wanted a few other modifications. For a little more money they were going to build my jacket custom to my specifications. I added a breast pocket, leather lined gun pocket, and had the measurements altered for me. They had me send the jacket I had back in so they could get the measurements off of it to be sure that the new one was made the to the same measurements, plus some here, minus some there.
Several weeks later I get an email, my jacket was on its way. I couldn't be more excited. A couple days later I came home from the shop to find my belated Christmas present waiting for me. I opened the box and the smell of quality leather is unmistakeable, the jacket is buttery soft yet heavy and thick. I gave it a thorough inspection, it's perfect, all the additions executed exactly as I expected. I then slipped my arms into the sleeves and zipped the massive brass Ykk zipper up. It fits over my pistol perfectly, I ordered a larger size for winter wear and because I carry a pistol (legally of course). I measured my chest over a hoody, and ordered two sizes larger. If you have doubts get someone to measure you over everything you will wear, and call Fox Creek, they will help you. Give them as much information as possible they are not psychic.
Now its the jacket of my dreams. The jacket feels great it's like a second skin, my old jacket feels like tissue paper compared to this one and it was actually more expensive, and not nearly as well built.
I had to test ride a couple of bikes in twenty degree weather today and I was comfortable, with a long sleeved shirt with a t-shirt over it and the thinsulate liner in the jacket. I will be doing plenty more cold weather testing as I ride year round.
