Our customers hounded us into resurrecting our Leather Overpants so here is the improved version. For maximum protection, comfort and warmth leather overpants are the way to go. Overpants go off and on as quickly as chaps, look and feel better and there are certain key components of your anatomy that are not sacrificed to the heartless objectivity of asphalt. Our Leather Overpants have nice deep front and rear pockets so you don't have to unzip or unbuckle to get what you need. Try them. You will never go back to chaps.
Our Leather Overpants come in two lengths: Regular and Long. Your outseam measurement determines which length you will receive. You may have to trim your overpants slightly to get the exact length you want.
Made in USA - Lifetime Guarantee
Our lifetime guarantee covers the workmanship and materials on all of our American made chaps, jackets, vests and pants as long as they are owned by the original purchaser. This includes any problem with snaps, zippers, seams and grommets that arise due to normal use of the garment.
Fox Creek leather overpants
Posted by Michael Thompson on Jul 17th 2017
As the title implies , these were bought one size over my normal pant size to enable a relaxed fit when riding in cooler or inclement weather. Feel that sizing was spot on or possibly a hair over normal. With a belt these fit perfect over a pair of regular jeans. The stitching snaps and zips are all a-one as well. These pants are going to outlive me for sure. Plenty of room for final fitting of length as this was high priority for me being a 28" inseam. Still need to take the shears to these, just waiting for some help. Want to measure twice and cut once!

The overpants I ordered originally were to short.I emailed them and they said no problem. I sent them back and my new pants were back in a week.
They are very comfortable and the quality of the leather is excellent.
Really good, a few notes...
Posted by Jon Crosbie on Jun 13th 2017
So, on the front end of this review, this is a great product. I do have a few nitpicky notes, but these shouldn't be taken as a significant criticism as, overall, these are great.
What I most value in riding gear is versatility and safety and these do a fine job. Firstly, the safety...if you were under the impression it's a good idea to ride without gear, please understand that, should you go down, it is possible to lose one millimeter of flesh for every mile an hour you are over 30mph. I am fortunate enough to have been blessed with a career in medicine and during my training, I got to work with a plastic surgeon and scrub in on a skin graft surgery. I feel very confident in saying flatly that you want no part of this surgery. I have also treated people with deep bone infections and please make no mistake, if you go down and skin yourself to the bone, you run this very real possibility. Save yourself the hospital bills, the surgery, and the possibility of an injection port in your chest for the 3 months of IV antibiotics you might need and just buy some damn gear. The leather on these pants is thick and strong and (please) believe me, $350 is a hell of a lot cheaper than the bill you might get. Safety-wise, unless you're going to buy sport bike gear, these about as good as it gets.
These pants are also quite versatile and this, I think, is what sets these pants apart from other products you might get. Riding below 40 degrees F is really fairly comfortable over a thick pair of jeans. More importantly, these really aren't all that bad in the heat of the summer either. I put them on over shorts (taking care that nobody saw me in boots and shorts prior to putting on the pants) and at 95 degrees and humid, I was relatively comfortable. As comfortable as a light pair of jeans? Well, of course not. It's heavy black leather. But it's certainly tolerable and I wouldn't go without them because I have images from wound care burned into my memory forever.
If you're out running errands, these overpants are fantastic. Honestly, when you get too hot in these pants is when you're trying to do stuff off the bike, so just unsnap the snaps, unzip about 2/3s of the way, and slip them off. Throw them in the saddlebags and off you go into the store. It's really handy and safety gear only really works if you, uhh, wear it. These over pants aren't a hassle which makes them a lot easier to not-"forget" on short rides (the Hurt Report tells us most accidents occur on short rides close to home, errands, things like that). The convenience and speed of overpants like these make "remembering" your gear a lot easier.
A few words on sizing. I don't normally take a long for pants, (I'm 6'1 but rarely require a long inseam) but I did need them here, especially wearing boots. If you're on the fence about whether you need regular or long, go long. Also, they recommend 2 inches above your regular waist size (ie if you wear a 36 jeans waist size, get a 38 overpants). Yeah, but...if you do squats on a regular basis or really have any semblance of an ass, you might want to go 4 inches over. The waist might be a little loose, but it'll be more comfortable through the hips. I wear a 36 inch waist size for jeans but had to go 40. It's not a big deal, but I did have to pay for shipping back (which I'm not mad about, FCL isn't Amazon and that's fine). Anyways, the right size the first time might save you $15 in shipping.
You may also notice that there's no taper on the pant leg and the only other thing that might be problematic is that the cuff on the ankle opening is pretty loose. The only reason that matters if that if you have a heel shifter (I do) it tends to catch on the heel shift taking your foot off the ground from a stop. It hasn't been a big deal, just something to think about if you have a heel shift on your bike.
No need to reiterate what other people have said about the ethics of the company. If you've read the other reviews, you already know.
I know that many people are rolling their eyes at my comments about safety. I find myself constantly being subject to eye rolls...my physician colleagues roll their eyes at the fact I ride, and my motorcycle friends roll their eyes at me wearing full leather when it's 95 degrees outside. But my doctor friends don't know how much fun that shift from 1st to 2nd is...and my motorcycle friends don't know how lousy skin grafts with a bone infection is, until they do.
These pants can help you avoid that. So buy them and wear them.

I am so impressed number one with the service from this company! They were completely Customer Focused. I ordered the overpants on line and was called 1st thing in the morning to tell me they were out of my size but were cutting quickly. I waited and I am glad I did. Fit is perfect, quality is outstanding! Soft leather that is easy to put on and awesome to wear! Thanks Fox Creek Leather and thanks to Rachel for being a great Customer Service Person!!!
As good as expected

I've had the Fox leather jacket and wanted a pair of leather pants that were just as good as the jacket, which is phenomenal. Well I wasn't disappointed. I was told to order size 38 (I wear size 36 jeans) and it fits perfect. So now, when it's too cold for chaps, I wear these pants and I'm good to go. Comfortable the first time I wore them.
FAR BETTER THAN CHAPS
Posted by BG on Nov 17th 2016
I had been looking at getting a pair of chaps for years, but didn't like the hassle of how they fit. I found these from searching for American-made leather and after reading the reviews and talking to customer service, decided to give them a try. If you are on the fence, do not be -- these pants are outstanding and provide all the warmth and protection you want for riding. Surprisingly, they aren't baggy, either. The quality is infallible.

Best of the best

I am reviewing the previous version so I can only imagine these are a good as ever!
I purchased a pair of Fox Creek leather "jeans" almost a decade ago and have been using them ever since. The only problem I have had is when asked where I got them, I had to tell folks that they had been discontinued- Not any more!
Excellent look, feel and comfortable even with thousands of miles on them. Heavy duty zippers and warm, these were a superior investment along with my (now also discontinued) Fox Creek Braided Vented Racing Jacket. I guess I should re-think a review since I seem to doom products in the catalog!
Amazing products from an amazing company; glad to see the leather jeans are back so I can point folks to Fox Creek for them!
Pride of Ownership
Posted by David M. on Jan 15th 2014
I believe the term I would use is Pride of Ownership. Knowing you own the best! Before I purchased the Classic Jacket, I felt what I had (a low cost import) was good enough until your jacket came out of the box. I could go on and on, but you already have heard it and you know... there is no comparison between cheap and Quality.
And the overpants! Was a bit skeptical at first, but after 3600 miles through New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming and Montana I kicked myself for not doing it sooner, the only way to go!
Then there is the vest and gloves... if it’s leather and I wear it, it will say Fox Creek, Made in USA!
Thanks for setting such a high standard for leather clothing.
