The venting system has two arm vents and two rear exit vents for optimal airflow. Dual sleeve and rear vents move the air easily through a mesh shell while an internal wind flap stops it cold at the zipper. A zip out full sleeve insulated liner completes the climate control package. Armor provisional pockets in the elbows, shoulders, and back allow you the option of using body armor with your motorcycle jacket
T-Pro Armor may not fit all shoulder pockets unless it is trimmed to fit. Elbow and back armor should fit correctly without trimming.

SPOT ON AND GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE
Posted by LasVegasTom on Aug 31st 2015
I have been looking at the Grayson jacket for a while, and I finally pulled the trigger and ordered one. I had called and emailed a few days before I ordered because I had a question on sizing because I was going to add the armor in. The lady (who's name I forgot) answered all of my questions and I ordered the size 38.
The jacket first of all, is made with the best of quality and the leather was perfect. The lining unzips with perfection and I put the armor in. When I put it all on, the fit was spot on. I can't wait for the leather to break in and get a patina. This investment in the Grayson jacket, will put a smile on my face for many miles.

I've had my Grayson for about 9 months now. I wore it in 45 degree weather doing 40-50 with a t-shirt and thin sweatshirt under....no worries!!!! The liner and neck warmer that come with help keep you warm while the soft, thick leather keeps the cold out.
I sent mine back to Fox Creek Leather to have the snaps changed to FCL black snaps. The antique brass zipper gives it that "vintage" look. The venting system is great for summer expressway riding...airflow, plus protection!!! I wear this jacket quite a bit, on and off the bike, because of its versatility. This is my personal favorite!!

First and foremost Fox Creek Leather is hands down the easiest company I can ever recall dealing with. The girls who answer the phone are very polite and go out of the way to be so helpful!
I ordered the wrong size jacket and made a call to Fox Creek to find out what I needed to do for an exchange. The girl that I spoke to explained to me to make sure that I had the invoice # inside the box and that they would send out a new jacket right away. Wait, send out a jacket before they received the one that I was returning? She told me it was the honor system. Are you kidding me? How many companies have you EVER heard that do something like that? None! Especially on an item that costs $467.00.
Now, to the jacket. I never expected this jacket to be of this quality. Having tried on more than enough HD jackets and knock off brands, I couldn't even describe the feeling when I took the jacket out of the plastic. Wow! What else can be said? Thick, seams are sewed perfectly, the zippers are all of the best quality, pockets are just the right size. I guess to sum it up the word that I can use to describe the jacket is superb! To top it all off, their products are made in the USA. Thank you Fox Creek Leather.
Grayson Motorcycle Jacket

I'm not in the habit of writing reviews but feel compelled to write this one. I really took along time researching all over the Internet and kept coming back to Fox Creek Leather. The folks there were very friendly and went out of their way to answer my many questions (give Melinda a raise!).
I really wanted to be sure of my purchase because, face it, 500 clams is a lot to shell out (nice pun) for a jacket. But the Grayson is worth it! First off, it is super beefy, but very comfortable right out of the box. It has lots of well-placed pockets and is very warm. I ride in Colorado and it has made my trips extremely enjoyable - if I ever "bounce", I'm pretty confident it will give ample protection. I get lots of compliments and lots of "where-did-you-get-that-awesome-jacket" questions.
Also, the customer service is awesome: my jacket arrived quickly, didn't fit, so they sent me a larger size right away. I tell everyone that asks to definitely buy this jacket and any other product from Fox Creek Leather.
I also bought some gauntlet, lined gloves - very well built and comfortable. I am totally confident this jacket will last for many many years. Thank you everyone at Fox Creek Leather!!!

I held off on a review until I truly got some miles on this jacket. All in all, this jacket was a terrific purchase that I would fully endorse. I can honestly say that I have never seen or felt better and more sturdy leather on a motorcycle jacket. I am consistently receiving compliments on the feel and "heft" of this jacket from riders and non-riders alike.
On the bike, this jacket is everything I need. It has plenty of ventilation for the summer days and on fall and spring trips to Pittsburgh and up the PCH, respectively, this jacket has totally handled the elements. One added benefit, the soft and thick leather makes for a decent tent pad if you ever need to save on space for a bike/camping trip.
Its important to note that the fit of this jacket is a bit different than most I have tried. The arms, shoulders and waist all tend to ring true against most "cafe" jackets on the market. I've noticed that this jacket is somewhat (possibly 0.5") shorter than like jackets, e.g. BMG Montana. But, because of the scooped back it doesn't make much of a difference on the bike. Off the bike, the jacket can appear to be a bit too cropped. On the bike, it may be a benefit as it helps from the jacket bunching up in the front, and I have never felt any real airflow on gold days. Not in any way an issue for most and I'm thrilled with the jacket, but I thought I'd let the next guy know.
All in all, great jacket and a great company to purchase from (they answered all of my 1,000,001 questions).

I researched leather motorcycle jackets for almost a year. Looking for a retro style jacket, I went to cycle shops, online retailers, and dealers. Finally, I came across Fox Creek and wow!
My jacket fits perfectly and it looks cool. My chest measured 41 inches with a thin sweatshirt and the 42 jacket fits great with and without the liner. The jacket is also stylish enough to wear out so I don't feel like I spent too much on just motorcycle gear. Some of the euro style jackets with their logos and super tight fits wouldn't be as functional.
The quality is pure American made. Sturdy and rugged, this jacket is made to last. Buy this jacket and it will be your last.

Have had my Grayson since 6/2010 and here are a few observations:
The leather wears quite well, and is getting a nice patina in the creases and shoulders where the sun hits. I have taken good care of the hide and would be amazed if I did not have this jacket until I was on the wrong side of the turf.
Venting is really quite good for only being on the arms and the two in the back. I ride geared up all the time and while I have had the Grayson on up to 90F 80F is pretty much my max these days. Hotter than that I take out my armored textile.
I purchased the Forcefield armor and while it has worn quite well, and I have yet to test it out, if I were to buy the jacket again I would elect to use the new Klim or Icon D30 stuff.
So what has gone wrong? Two seasons ago both cuffs started coming apart at the seams. Contacted Fox Creek Leather, got a return number and had them fixed and back to me in a week IIRC. No more than 10 days I know that for sure. No issue since.
Other than the cuff seams I have YET to see a loose thread, rip in the lining or anything else negative. This is a jacket worth what I paid for it. I suggest to all I can to take a look at Fox Creek Leather.
I currently ride a very nice 1978 Suzuki GS750C and this jacket fits so well. NO multiple colors, panels, logos or other such nonsense. Well done Fox Creek!

I did a lot of research before buying this jacket as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. I received this jacket and instantly knew I made the right choice!
The leather was soft, yet durable and thick.
This is a wonderful jacket, it has tons of pockets, a great lining, and it's flexible. I couldn't recommend it more. They really thought of everything in this design.
Brilliant Wardrobe & Riding too!

I bought a Grayson Motorcycle Jacket online with all the specific measurements and had it brought over through a friend to Bangalore, India as I was not in the US those weeks.
It is a brilliant product and an essential in my wardrobe, whether I am at a get together, meeting, riding my Harley or walking the streets of San Francisco or London. I have lots of folks ask me; "wow, what are you wearing?". I bought it as I liked it and not to get noticed, but that's part of the deal I guess when you buy a Fox Creek Leather product!
Maybe I should take a franchise!
I had extremely high expectations, and they were still surpassed.

From all the research I did prior to buying, I knew to expect the following from Fox Creek Leather and the Grayson jacket in particular: heavyweight but supple. High quality assembly - stitching, hardware, etc. Perfect fit according to fitting chart. Outstanding customer service.
That's a high bar to set for an internet transaction, but I could not be happier even so. The sleeves are the perfect length, despite my long arms. When I raise my arms straight in front of me, they ride up less than two inches. The zipper on the wrists closes it tightly to lock in gauntlet gloves (or fit inside them) but not too tightly so they are uncomfortably tight or restrictive. The shoulders fit exactly right, and the drape of the leather is easy and natural, even stylish. That goes for when the jacket is by itself, with the included liner, AND with the liner + hoodie underneath. It's like magic how well this jacket fits. This is the only jacket (including winter coats, suits, sport jackets, etc) that has ever fit me off the shelf perfectly.
While the leather is supple and buttery, it is heavy enough that it will take a good deal of time to break in. This is a pro and a minor con - it will eventually fit me perfectly because it will take so long to break in that no day or week here and there of strange wear will affect it. However, until then I'll just have to get used to being poked in the chin by the collar. Seems fair to me!
I took the jacket and started pulling at seams to see how tightly they were sewn, and none of them separated at all. You can see the threads if you pull VERY hard, but only just barely. This means that if/when I come off the bike again, none of the important seams will be able to come apart. Only the leather will be able to touch the ground.
This jacket is plainly of such high quality, I expect to pass it on to my child/grandchild some day. I am 80% sure Fox Creek has sent me an heirloom- to- be. I cannot think of any way to improve on their business model or practices, or their products.
