Second Hand and Still Great

I recently bought a pair of Fox Creek Leather saddlebags off E-Bay for my 2008 Harley Davidson Fat-Boy.
I was a little hesitant about how old they were but when I got them I was amazed at the quality of the bags. They have been on my bike now for around two months and I love them. I love the zips, the ultra thick leather and the quality shows every time I open them up. They are on easy brackets and work well with my bike.
I just wanted to tell you that even though its nice to have new bags, it's just as nice to have quality, second hand ones and I'm sure sure when I'm finished with them, they will be loved just as much by the next person. Chinese stuff sucks, only last a few months before they perish, not yours. Keep up the good work!
Fringed Fatboy Saddlebags
Posted by Jeff on Apr 9th 2014
Purchased the fringed Fatboy Saddlebags for my 2009 Yamaha Roadliner S. They are constructed extremely well of very heavy leather. The sturdy construction surpasses any PVC bag I handled. The zip off yoke with handles for each bag is all I needed. No fancy brackets. Best of all, the fringe looks cool.

I purchased a set of the Fatboy Saddlebags from Fox Creek Leather as a replacement for Harley Davidson Licensed saddlebags that I had on my 2006 Fatboy for a number of years. They are much more reasonable in cost than the licensed bags I looked at for a replacement. I am happy with the quality and workmanship of the Fox Creek Leather Fatboy Saddlebags and am glad to have American made top grain leather bags that compliment and accent my bike very well.
I went with these bags because of the dimensions, they are a smaller bag that works well with the Screamin' Eagle shotgun exhaust I have on my bike. I mounted them using Easy-Brackets 1 1/4 inches above the exhaust and believe this will provide more than adequate clearance for any issues related to heat.
The bags have a plastic insert across the bottom of the bag that I believe will help them hold their shape and not sag over time. I did not have to relocate the rear signals and these bags fill out the space much better than the bags I had on the bike before, the others were about an inch smaller all the way around. I particularly like the working buckles and zippered pockets both on the inside and outside of the bag and really like the stitching lines, they are great looking bags.
I have previously purchased a leather jacket as well as a couple of belts from Fox Creek Leather and could not be more pleased with their level of customer service!
Just the Right Size

We used the Fat Boy bags on a week long tour of Nova Scotia and they worked flawlessly. I’m very happy with them. As I ride a Deuce, you know that finding things to fit it is sometimes difficult. So I was pleased when I came across your saddle bags.
They’re just the right size to compliment the look of my bike. They’ve also been to Montreal, Canada, Blue Ridge Parkway, Myrtle Beach, Lake George, NY,
Ocean City MD. And through a number of heavy rain storms. So far, they’re still holding their shape and color. Good job!
I did not have to relocate the rear turn signals and it took me about an hour to install the brackets including bolting the saddlebags to the brackets.
Fat Boy saddlebags made it to Europe

Hello folks, believe it or not, while surfing through the net for good quality products for my Harley, I spotted Fox Creek Leather. I am Italian (currently living in the Netherlands) but I have never been scared to buy things from outside my country, especially when it is worth it and you get good value for money.
For my new Fat Boy I was looking for a pair of saddle bags that I could easily fit on the bike, without any great hassle. Clearly, I went directly for something that was made specifically for it, i.e. Fat Boy Saddlebags.
They are a very good product, made of first quality leather. Overall I am very satisfied. Just a small tip to improve an already excellent product. Consider either hiding a quick release clips underneath each strip attached to the outer buckles for easy opening or replacing the buckles with improved ones, as they tend to ruins the leather strips. For those who are still hesitant, don't worry. You will be very satisfied!
Fatboy Bags on a Fatboy

I spent a lot of time researching saddlebags for my 2009 H-D Fatboy. Tried many sources to include H-D's own brand. I wanted bags that complimented the style of the bike, not something that looked like two "depth charges" hanging off a ship. I found the perfect bags at the Fox Creek shop.
The bags went on a totally stock 2009 H-D Fatboy with factory exhausts. I put the bags on as throwovers and did not use any mounting system. The bags fit great, clearance between the bottom of the right hand bag and the exhaust pipe is about 1 1/2 inches. Also, I did not have to move the rear turn signals, bags fit perfectly between seat and rear signals.
The only downside to the bags was the use of the Saddlebag Fender Guard, the thickness of the guard plus the thickness of the yoke made it impossible to screw in the seat mounting screw in the rear fender. Once I took off the fender guard, the mounting screw went in fine.

I bought a pair of saddlebags from you back in October. I think they compliment the bike very well. I am pleased with the bags and the easy brackets. Everyone who has seen the bags on the bike likes them and wants to know where I bought them. One of the reasons that I looked at your products was that they are made in the USA.
Thank you very much for your service.

I have seen these bags because I helped him put them on his bike. The Easy Brackets made the whole job so easy. All we did is remove a couple bolts, mount the hardware, put the brackets on the bags and were on the road. I think the whole job took about 2hrs. From what I see the Easy Brackets system is a nice touch to the bags because the ease of taking them on and off and being able to lock them on the mounting hard wear is a real nice feature. From what I see these bags and Easy Brackets will last a very long time. I like how the bags are made, quality leather, very well stitched, easy open and close with plenty of room to put your things in. These are a very well made USA product. Keep up the good work.
FATBOY SADDLEBAGS - 2006 VULCAN 2000
Posted by Armando Longoria on Jul 24th 2007
I purchased the Fatboy Saddlebags for my 2006 Kawasaki Vulcan 2000. I decided on the bags with the removable zip-off yoke. OUTSTANDING! The workmanship on this leather product is super. Attention to fine detail, such as the stitching is truly unbelievable...no loose ends or stray threads. Truly remarkable… Fellow motorcycle enthusiasts, I searched the web and found less expensive products but as cheap in quality as they were inexpensive. These Fatboy bags have so much storage and also little compartments within each bag useful for booklets and other small items you wish to secure at a moments notice. The leather is pure quality as well as soft and pleasing to the touch and eye.
I was worried about how the removable yoke was going to work with the quick release mounting EASY BRACKETS system. No problem. The brace fits perfect on the back of the saddlebag and after attaching the brace onto the bag and removing the yoke, the saddlebag has a handle-looking flap that is long enough to cover the zipper and tucks between the bag and the bike to protect not only the zipper but also the bike from the zipper. The removable yoke doubles as an additional carrier of the saddlebags as I previously mentioned that each bag has a handle-looking flap. If you purchase the saddlebags with the removable yoke and also decide to purchase the quick release mounting EASY BRACKET system, you won’t have to worry about purchasing SADDLEBAG FENDER GUARDS nor the EASY TOTES HANDLE as the EASY BRACKET keeps the bag off the bike and the saddlebag handle/yoke flap protects the bike form the zipper, and the removable yoke will serve as a second handle therefore not needing the Easy Tote Handle.
The EASY BRACKET was simple & "easy" to attach to the saddlebags. You first install the hardware on the bike, then position the bags at the proper height where they clear your pipes, then you mark the holes on the back of each bag and drill. NOTE: Remember when you are drilling that you have that extra zipper bag inside your saddlebags that you want to physically hold out of the way so that your drill bit does not catch and possibly destroy the added feature. Very easy and somewhat quick but take your time and do the job well.
I'm happy with my Fatboy Saddlebags and with the young lady at Fox Creek Leather customer service who had most all the answers to my questions and found the answers to the ones she was not certain. I am also pleased with her recommendation of not purchasing the EASY TOTE HANDLE since the removable yoke would serve that same carrying purpose. She saved me $$$$.

I just purchased a 2007 Fat Boy for which I needed saddlebags. I was going to purchase another well known companies bags, but decided they were way too small and too expensive. I then looked into a local leather maker and was quoted a price of around $900. Great quality but much too expensive.
I did a Google search and found Fox Creek Leather. After reading how your bags are made and seeing the quality in the pictures, I decided these were the bags for my bike.
Upon quickly receiving my shipment and opening the box, I found saddlebags that surpassed my expectations. The quality and design of these bags are unbelievable. The leather is beautiful and after having another companies bags on my other bike, I can truly say from experience that your bags are much better. I love the yoke and the inside zippered compartments. Alot will fit in these bags!
The next thing I have to comment on is the ease of putting them on my bike. I undid the seat screw, attached the fender guard to the bags, placed them over the fender and replaced the seat screw. I then tied the back of the bags to the bike using the attached back straps. From start to finish, the job took about 15 minutes. They did not need to be adjusted, although you provide room for adjustment.
I am a very happy customer and would encourage anyone needing leather products to order them from Fox Creek Leather.
