Chippewa® Bison Stampede Boots
For centuries, Bison roamed the vast North American plains, grazing the land and providing food, shelter and clothing for Native Americans. These enormous animals are said to have been the most important factor in the survival of the early settlers. The majestic beast was a tough, hardy creature that thrived in almost any condition: snow or sleet, rain or sunshine. No other animal was as influential in the development of the American West as was the bison.
Like its namesake, the Bison Stampede Collection from Chippewa performs magnificently in any and all conditions. Bison leather is as supple as it is comfortable. It is more durable than ordinary bovine leather and typically outlasts it by 50% to 80%, even under the harshest conditions. The Bison Stampede Collection is to boots what the bison was to the early Native Americans, a formidable advantage for surviving in extreme circumstances.

Material:
- Genuine American Bison.
Construction:
Goodyear Leather Welt construction makes for a long lasting boot. Leather welts expand and contract with changing temperatures and this natural flex decreases welt splitting and breaking. Plus, this construction style is easier to resole because the welt (which holds the sole on) is stitched to the insole.
Although the welts have this natural flex, lateral support is second to none. Leather welts are very difficult to twist, and lateral support is especially important on uneven terrain or general work conditions where there is a lot of foot motion.
