These leathers are tanned using oils to protect and lubricate the fiber. They are generally thicker leathers and are considered work leathers although often used as casual boots.
The Chip-A-Tex Waterproof bootie surrounds your foot to keep the worst weather away from your skin, and the shearling lining combined with wool felt inserts and insulation protect your feet, ankles and lower legs from the cold.

Care:
- Remove loose dirt or dust with brush or rag
- Replenish oils with an all-purpose conditioner. We recommend Montana Pitch Blend.

I've tried many of boots and there was only one boot that ALWAYS kept my feet warm and dry and these boots look great too!
They may cost a pretty penny, but like most cases, you get what you pay for, and in this case you get more.
