The leather uppers in these boots are Briar Pitstop. This leather has a lot of waxes and oils applied during the tanning process. The concentration of the oils and waxes make it an "explosive" leather - meaning, it has a lot of "pull up". This can be seen by folding the leather tightly. Folding makes the oils move around inside the leather creating a color change. The color returns after the leather is returned to the original shape.
Drill is a cotton type material that is used to line the vamp. The vamp is a piece of leather forming the top of the front part of a shoe (not the upper).
This boot has the Vibram® Tacoma Yellow Plug Logger and every lug in this design has been strategically placed for braking, kick-off, traction, stability and slip resistance. Maximum traction on a variety of terrains including wet surfaces.
