The Hackamore Bit has a stainless steel finish with 7.5" cheeks. The noseband is made of a rubber covered bike chain. Hackamores are popular for barrel racing, speed events, and bit sore horses. They apply pressure to a horse's poll, chin, cheek and nose without the use of a bit. The longer the shank on the hackamore, the more pressure can be applied. A hackamore can be used on a horse with damaged bars.
